I have been writing a diary recently and what I have discovered is quite worrying?

I suffer with some issues with my mental health, anxiety, ocd and depression. So over the last few weeks I decided to write a diary about what I was doing that day, and score how my anxiety, ocd and depression was that day. What I have discovered over the last few days is quite worrying. What I have discovered is that the days that I am using PMO my anxiety, ocd and depression is usually much lower than the days I am not using PMO?

Last week I was on about a 2 week streak of no PMO, and a lot of the earlier days last week my anxiety, ocd and depression levels were quite high. But they did start to lower a bit as time went on. But unfortunately I fell in to a bit of a PMO binge over the last 4 days. Well the first day I PMOed once for a few hours, then the following day I spent the entire day PMOing, then the next day I PMoed maybe twice for a few hours, and the day after that again I PMOed 2 or 3 times for a few hours. But the worry is that these days my anxiety, ocd and depression levels were basically non existent?

That is me back on the right path today. But today I have already noticed that my ocd is a good bit worse, I am obsessing about things more again, and I am also feeling slightly more depressed today.

  2. You were not as anxious because you were releasing pent up sexual energy and not building it up, and you were pleasuring yourself. Trust me when i say if you want anxiety, depression, and ocd to go away you need to reboot, i have legit ocd and anxiety, used to have major depression, i thought about dying all the time every day when i was a pmo addict. But now i am almost on day 100 and i do not have those issues anymore, i dont really get stressed or anxious at all anymore, i will always have ocd but it is not bad anymore, just stick with it and reboot bro, i kept a reboot journal and the progress is amazing.

I have severe ocd, severe obsessions. I personally think what is happening is when I am spending the entire day PMOing that this is really taking my mind off the obsessions. But I know this isn't healthy.

  4. that is a possibility, when i was focused on other things like video games my mind would be distracted for a while and my torment was quelled for a bit.

It looks like you are self medicating using porn. I think this is pretty much what we have all been doing I. E. Numbing ourselves to uncomfortable feelings, emotions situations etc.

I think we have to escape it in order to experience the uncomfortable emotions etc that we have been hiding from. Once experienced they then disappear. I have definitely noticed a reduction in anxiety.

    Best of luck my friend

^ This guy, IMO, is great for dealing with OCD, anxiety and other mental health issues and has great advice on how to recover.

PMO is just another form of OCD you are running from anxiety or bad feelings which is what OCD is, and it's just going to exacerbate the problem just like doing compulsions does to make yourself feel better.
