That's my question: I find staying away from PMO rather easy. And I feel about the same as before quitting PMO, which was 20 days ago ―I did PMO daily before quitting.

    What does that mean?

I have my hypothesis, but would like to avoid any bias and hear your opinions first.

I’m almost on 60 days and I has been the easiest streak I am on. No urges whatsoever. I hope it stays like this although flatlining sucks

  3. Maybe because you're older it's easier, it's a lot harder for somebody young with a high sex drive.

Do you say that because you are old? Or how do you know? What's a high sex drive?

  6. I'm 18 and have had a high sex drive since puberty, I think I inherited it from my father. I consider high sex drive with being horny for a large amount of time, I'm a virgin so I do not what actual sex feels like. This was just an assumption that it might be easier to quit when you're older when the sex drive isn't as high, I'm still young and not very experienced. I have quit porn before but instead masturbated to Instagram.

To answer your question please answer the following.

    Years addicted to PMO?
    When did you start?
    Current age?
How raunchy is the content you were watching?
How often did you PMO a day?
What are your lifestyle habits? (Diet, working out, stress levels, sleep)

Feel free to link any relevant posts you’ve had on nofap about your situation.

    Q: Years addicted to PMO?
A: I have done PMO for 20 years, I don't know if as an addiction, because that is my question to this forum in the first place: "was I not addicted because it's been easy to abstain?"

    Q: When did you start?
    A: I was around 22

    Q: Current age?
    A: I am 42

Q: How raunchy is the content you were watching?
95% of the time quite innocent. 5% of the time I would look for something more outrageous.

Q: How often did you PMO a day?
A: Once a day for near an hour, 4-6 times a week.

Q: What are your lifestyle habits? (Diet, working out, stress levels, sleep)
A: Very good habits: no sugars, high protein, quality bio food, resistance training 3-4x a week, low body fat, no DE. Anxiety and sleep have deteriorated in the last year, no sources of stress other than that.

    Hmm I don't know
my theory is : I'm undernourished
Last year i was like eating all kinds of home and street food stuff and doing hella cardio at the same time so I had like all the nutrients and all so I got a wet dream after 30 days of nofap
but now i have studies and stuff so diet's a lil bit not taken care of and its almost 60+ days and no wet dreams yet. Maybe my body doesn't have enough nutrients to produce surplus of sperm or maybe im just using all the test for my puberty needs (hair growth and stuff)
and most probably i might be wrong lmao i want a wet dream so badly
I don't feel like relapsing but i'm afraid my overconfidence may win again like it did before and I'll just relapse during those times when i have random boners

In all fairness, 20 days is nothing, barely even scratching the surface. The 90-day "full" reboot is also very debatable. Many veterans on here will agree that the real reboot doesn't even begin until after you hit 90 days. Give it more time.

  11. This and the chaser effect is really dangerous after relapsing. There have been guys that have abstained for months and after relapsing can't get a week under the belt. Just keep on trucking and take one day at a time.

To start, there are people who hit the flatline much later than others. I for one hit the flatline immediately after having sex for the first time while doing nofap on day 8. Day 20 is still pretty early.

With your age you probably aren’t having the “off the wall hormones” so that’s probably why your not having crazy urges like some of the young guys on this forum. In addition since you didn’t start PMO during puberty you were able to develop your sexuality without porn.

It’s sounds like you are a pretty healthy guy which could be helping you as well. Try adding the supplement zma to your nightly routine to help with the sleep.

Don’t let your guard down, the flatline or the urges could come out of nowhere at anytime.

It doesn't get easy if you have already done it before, I've already finished 100+ days and man i felt so fucking amazing but i never knew how amazing it was until I was back to the loser i was. I kept calling myself loser in my journal and people said I should change it to a winner since i've crossed 20 days. But man the overconfidence kicked in and i relapsed. I was like "im a winner and i won't relapse even if i watch this erotic song" and yeah i relapsed. But it wasn't satisfying relapsing on a song, so i watched porn to make the most out of it and start nofap the next day but nah, everyday it was from tomorrow. Until i got enough of this and decided to purchase a new phone and the rules was: If i relapse, I'll hand over this phone or not use it for a month or something (i really needed a phone cuz my old phone had 4gb total free memory and it was full and it wasn't even functioning, the display broke and i couldn't even make calls) so yeah the first initial days I cherished my phone and decided to not masturbate ever again, its still going on ;)
But yeah i feel like a loser sometimes cuz im not exercising and focussing on diet, and i realized that after eating whatever i want, i lost that charm and glow in my face, of course i am not the loser who faps twice a day but I can vouch that fitness and nofap when combined, man you unlock the best version of yourself from your past self.
I still see my old photos where i was looking so fit and happy. during my loser days people used to make fun of my face and smile (i didnt know how to smile xd i just show all my above teeth and laugh whole heartedly as i was a kid) but man i uploaded this pic and i received many compliments and stuff. it was nice af. but yeah the diet and exercise is not on point and i lost all my progress and those upper abs (lower belly fat, fuck you) but yeah 3rd august my exams shall finish. I'm gonna install a pullup bar and do the 100 pullups a day challenge since I've already done and got bored of the 100 pushups challenge.
    Gonna come back.
    Harder.
You need to put something at risk and sacrifice, only then shall you successfully come out of this addiction. In my first streak I analyzed and found i'm wasting time on porn and scored very less marks, I stopped porn and studied, what i achieved? Hella girls striking up convos and damn marks enough to brag to all those who made fun of my marks.
Second streak: I was going through emotional stress and depression (not severe but yeah mild depression) and loneliness, But after 60 days of nofap i can assure you, if you're lonely, be the lone wolf and lead the pack later.
I just do pushups or go for a ride whenever im feeling lonely (i'm into cycling / bikin right now)
Coming home drenched in sweat and enjoying that cold shower is what gives my brains dopamine now.
    Cya.
Edit: Just realized i'm on my 69th day xDD

I think the underlying assumption that it can be measured by days alone is a fallacy that has to be challenged.

Even aside from flatline the subjective perception of "easy" is also hard to define, and it is as you perceive it now or within this span of 20 days.

Whatever your qualification for the word addiction, even if you weren't, so what? If you see it as a positive change in your lifestyle then why not just keep doing it?

Also you can certainly track your own data rather than just asking the forum.

Age is more meaningful than # of days since there are known biological changes especially after 40 as is the case with me. In general I'd say for us it's more of a mind game whereas for younger guys it's more both physical and mental. But of course that doesn't give you any details, it's up to you to look at the specifics. Maybe you have enough lined up that you're pretty clear mentally, but it wouldn't hurt to see what those things are and understand how it's working in your favor so far especially if you get to a point where you need to improve upon your regimen.

  20. To be honest dude, some guys have it easier some have it harder. If you find this whole stuff easy then congratulations, you are a person who is well determined and disciplined. Considering your good habits mentioned above, I believe that you are strong enough to face NoFap easier than some other people would.
