Hi, Thank you for your replay. Actually, porn is not my problem and I'm a sex addict. Contrary to the past in the last decade, I can't feel love and I just want to have sex and I don't like it. I wanna start fresh and become the guy I used to be.

1 day. I was reading through the posts on this forum. I am unbelievably proud to be on a forum with such amazing individuals. It feels so good to know that I am not alone in this struggle. There are others who have similar struggles. Good men and women who got caught by something very terrible and powerful. (That just reminded me of a quote so I looked it up.
"Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed."
    G.K. Chesterton)

I was reading about the power of classical music yesterday. After a half hour of listening to it cortisol levels drop dramatically. I am going to make it a practice to listen to it every day for at least that amount of time. I was listening to it last night and "hear"(pun intended) is a piece I especially enjoyed last night. Man I love this piece so much.

I started drinking a tea a month or two back. Tulsi Tranquility from David's Tea. I stopped drinking it for a bit. It has tulsi in it. It calms me right down. I was reading about tulsi. I guess it actually kills cortisol.

Trigger warning for those who struggle with alcohol.

Instead of my glass of wine last night (which I gave up yesterday) I had a cup of this tea and one of a different kind while listening to classical music. I can't describe how good I felt when I went to bed yesterday. My glasses of wine calmed me down, but nothing like this. I guess I am replacing my evening ritual of wine and something meaningful to this tea and something meaningful. God speed everyone.

I saw you relapsed recently brother and I have a suggestion:
    (This goes for everyone)
I used to find a motto (for examle the Knights' oath from Kingdom of Heaven) and keep repeating in my head whenever slightest piece of thought about sexuality comes. It makes your mind focus on entirely another thing and helps to get rid of that momentary urge. Hope it helps :)

the brain will heal itself. you just got to reduce the foods that damage it. sugar is probably the number 1 poison you can give to the brain. but there are more:

as for healthy foods for the brain, there is also a good list of them ;)

let´s do this my friend, just today, just this moment, no pmo.

oh i´m sorry, that´s a unusual issue here. usually the guys are more about pmo compulsion :). well, if that is your problem, then yeah, a period of abstinence of sexual indulgence should help you a lot, in that case hardmode is better for you. it´s hard but it will pay off :). go bro, one day at a time.

one thing that might help is write down the usual excuses that you put up before going full blown relapse.
write each rationalization + each answer. read that everyday, it will boost your motivation and make you sharp when urges appear.

Haha That's excellent. Great minds think alike. :p It is so nice. I found it much more relaxing than my old ritual of a glass of wine.

Here is a scene from the Lord of the rings movie that motivated me many times. When bad thoughts come to my mind I watch it and feel better. I hope it helps you too.

    Day 176/181 no PM (relapsed day 51, 70, 102, 150, 162)
    Day 79/90 meeting my goals
Day 181 no alcohol or caffeine
    Day 49 of weight training
    - feeling good, no urges
    - had trouble sleeping last night, as my BPH symptoms seemed worse for some reason for the first time in weeks and couldn't fully empty my bladder, peeing at 3am, 4am and 5am
    - still nothing compared to how bad it was when I drank and did caffeinated coffee and tea
    - I get my blood test in an hour to check my PSA levels, hope they are still low
    - have a great day everyone
