I agree with the person above me. You need to fill yourself up, as pornography siphons the life from a person, and masturbation is like pouring gasoline on fire and letting it go ablaze. Really, work on more encouragement on your good behavior, and more getting actual life: nature, people, the good, friendly, organic, healthy things in life.

  2. Ah cool man. Yeah at the moment I am not really comfortable with myself, with having a lot of issues, that I feel if I didn't have the porn addiction, though not solving everything, would hope it goes into the right direction.

  3. Fair enough, I can understand that. Though what do you think of edging at parts, but then restraining one self from it? Should one go back to the beginning or is it throwing the Baby with the Bathwater thing?

  4. Yeah, that is something I am trying to work on.

I'm not sure what you mean? Edging is poison, it's not good, don't do it at all. If you mean about resetting your counter that is up to you, whatever works for you and motivates you, maybe resetting your counter would push you to go further down the PMO hole, or maybe the reverse, I don't know?

I'm pretty sure the general consensus here is that edging is worse than regular PMO. Just to be clear by edging I don't' mean 30 seconds of wanking that you stopped yourself from doing, but rather edging for hours. It extends your wanking periods, I've had it go on for 24 hours straight and that can feel very rough at that point at least it is very much a drug addiction and compulsion. But even 30 seconds and any looking at porn should be avoided. It doesn't make things easier it makes it much harder and will more often than not lead to a full blown relapse.

Put your faith in you and you alone. Nothing else, no one else. Only you can change your life. Trust me, people and tools are always helpful, but it all comes down to you. I've had to learn this through years of struggle.

  7. Okay more what I was talking about edging for a short bit then stopping, as at the start when fighting against the urge to masturbate to then getting better at not doing that.

  8. Yeah well I hope these tools will help gain more faith in myself, as putting faith into them.

Have you tried Jose Silva's Ultra Mind? That is my main tool. You need it, you are ready. It will change things for you. Private message me.

  10. I started writing about my life. I did Jordan Peterson's selfauthoring. I recommend you to do the Future Authoring program. You do some analysis, you define your goals for the future (you can pick nofap) and then write the hell about it. It helped a lot. It is psychology, not some pseudo science.

Acting like this, you are taking all tha bads of nofap and refusing all its goods. That really don't worth the effort, quit or decide to make a 90 days streak.

  12. Hm to be honest, I wouldn't know how to go about doing that.

  13. What do you mean by that?

I will offer you slightly different suggestion, and I think you´ll understand it the best if you read this story (only if you can find time, it´s bit long): https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.p...of-jesus-christ-saved-me.241858/#post-2154773
And I don´t claim that it´s something that you "need" to do. Let me just say that it´s definitely worth trying.

  15. I'll take a look at it, though I am not sure, as I am not a religious man.

I could not successfully continue on rebooting UNLESS I have not stimulated myself, at all.
Even a simple quick non-porn induced fap can send me into withdrawal that can be intense for a few days, and then trail off in WEEKS.

For myself, what has worked is admitting to myself that I must denounce my sexuality. I hated having to do so, but if I embrace my sexual urges (even just acknowledging them), I then cannot hold back from relapsing. I have noticed that I have a problem for 10 years, and every time I tell myself "having sexual urges is 'normal,'" I end up relapsing and having to start withdrawal over again. It is just something that is there every time that I relapse. And it is my duty to denounce my sexuality.

This is not hating my attractions; this is not hating my sexuality; this is not viewing sexuality as "dirty" or immoral; this is just what I have to do to help save myself from fapping.

Even noting an attraction can cause some stimulation, no matter how small it is, and that can easily lead to starting the addiction, all over again.

What I found I must do is to train myself to completely ignore ANY sexual thoughts. No matter how natural or routine, I had to train myself to ignore sexual thoughts, just tune them out and not notice them. It was hard and took a long time, but it is the only way I can abstain.

Think of it being like your mind going "hey, notice that... wouldn't you like to..."
You just let it go "Hey..." and stops there, as you have trained it to cut itself off and then you don't get these sexual thoughts in your head (and "cut it off" before you get any).

That´s no problem whatsoever. At the very least you will have something else than PMO to do for a while :)

i mean that all the benefits of nofap start arriving after 80-90 days. If you never get to that point you'll never feel them.

  19. Ah okay, I thought it was starting at 30 it starts to happen?
