Lol dude don't need to be so hard on yourself. Work on your physique, go hit the gym, stay strong and dedicated. Things will be alright, don't stress, stay bless.

I'm working on that. What I lack is the confidence and "agressive" attitude. And more muscle mass, but I'll get there eventually.

Nice, bro! You might already be aware of this, but it makes sense you wouldn't want to depend on your looks to get confident. If you do so, your confidence will eventually evade you as you grow older.

It makes sense we should build confidence on qualities that don't wither and die as we grow but get developed infinitely.

  6. I will dissapoint you
There is no magical thing that someone without seeing you magically texts you.
Its like believing pasta god did the thing that happened randomly to you today.
Sorry man, but this is truth,
And it will do good for you if you realise it

  8. Some "random" stuff happening to me was so improbable, that any non-divine explanation would be pure bollocks.

For example one year and half ago I asked God (the Christian one) to connect me with a girl and attached a quite specific (and somewhat unrealistic) wish list to my request. This evening 95 days after getting rid of sin exactly that girl is texting me and commenting on my status. She popped into my life within 30 days after I stopped PMO - which I now call the "grace period".

This is how the universe works my friend. It's not your "superpowers", it's His superpowers at work.

  11. It's just an illusion. Your mind tricks you, it really isn't a magical side benefit of NoFap. It's just the positive change in your personality and simple stuff like it, that may lead them to approach you, but in fact, they are not there because of some weird magnetism thingy.

Well it seems for most people here great stuff happened. Only, I think you people are counting on mystic beliefs a little too much :D.

That said, everyone's opinion points toward saying that this extra energy is doing marvelous things.
Lately I've been having tons of it but I don't know what to do with it, but exercise a lot and eating like I've never eaten. I might start gaining weigh at last.

  13. When I was reading this post tonight I was thinking "What exciting things did @ItsInTheBag mean?"

But of course you where right. I received a flustered voice message this morning, when our Lord started talking to her for the first time...

  14. But if she didnt meet with you you would say "God wanted like that, I will meet another one"
People love to believe that random acxidents were created by superpowers

Praying is subconcious thing. If you prat for a new car and believe Jesus or Buddha will peovide you tgat in a neae future - you subconsiously do things which increase the probability of getting new vehicle.
And even if you wont get a new car, you will give the narration that "God wanted differrently" and you would feel good too.

Religion drugs your feelings. The most important fundation of Christianity is to make you feel and believe that you are the worst scum ever just because you live. It creates in you the feeling of being guilty. And at the same time it gives that "mercy" thing.
So you feel good then.. But its all your actions... You give yourself mercy, you give yourself love, you "free" yourself from feelig guilty. Not the "God"

God who makes people sinners and they go down to Earth to die to "free" them from sins which he create in the first place. Because he loves them.
It always sounded not logically to me.

  16. Especially when "random" becomes orderly and makes perfect sense.

The joke about that "random" encounter after my "grace period" was that I've already completely forgotten my bold prayer at that point in time. Yet in our round of introductions she essentially started going through my list point by point...

Initially I didn't recognize at all what happened and just suspected some kind of temptation or distraction, until the Lord laughed at me a few days later and finally reminded of what I asked for in my hubris as new believer.

Then it all came back to me, making the effect of the answer much more powerful, because with my lousy memory I essentially worked around my own confirmation bias.

I can assure you, there was nothing subconscious about avoiding sin (including PMO) and following the Lord's will. That of course is the precondition to have your prayers answered by grace.

I see people desperately making up mental models of how the universe works differently, but that doesn't change reality. As a convert I can understand you, as it took myself over a year to accept how law of nature actually works.

Like a scientist I choose to stick with a model/theory which perfectly matches what I can observe. It's not something I made up on my own, I took it from the Word. I'm always open to suggestions on refining a theory, but I'm sorry, your confused rambling simply doesn't do it for me.

The fundamental issue is that many people like to have an extra drawer for "spiritual" or "religion", treating it special, while I simply treat it like everything else and integrate it seamlessly into my world view. I'm actually unable to draw the line now and I think it requires a certain atheist belief system to be able to do so.

So you knew about it hours before it happened. :)

I don't attribute all coincidences to God. However, some were so ridiculous, and or happening that often, that I just have to. My favorite one was waking up in the middle of a night having a word in my head that I've never heard before. It kept pestering me, so I googled it. Similar results, but just not that one. So I went to an Ancient Hebrew thesaurus and looked for it. There it was.

Best part? It had two meanings. One was exactly an answer to a request for a direction I prayed for before going to sleep. The other one, relevant to my whole life's context...something I've been struggling with for more than 6 months.

However, I, unlike others, am in the position to be forced to believe. I've seen miracles with these two eyes, so actually becoming an atheist would make me feel hypocritical. Two times, I've had medical situations confirmed by full sets of medical investigations, dead ends according to doctors - one meant I was going to be mentally handicapped, the other one losing a loved one (he was half gone).

They were both undid by...prayer, and instantly. My favorite quote, from a baffled doctor was: "I am an theist, I don't believe in God, but this was God's hand at work." I had to explain a doctor how, over the course of a weekend, a new pair of kidneys replaced the dead ones. They didn't have a better explanation, I certainly didn't have one either. The whole context reproduced 100% down to ridiculous details a dream that the ill person had (involving a city he had never visited before, a church he didn't know existed in that city, and an event happening in that church as he arrived to ask for a prayer - as in dream, so in real life).

There were times when I almost wised there wasn't a God in heaven, because of the ridiculous turns my life took. I am in one right now...in fact, several, but one just hit my family out if the blue and it's "unfair" and I have no idea how the future looks for them. Chronic diseases, financial troubles, burying loved ones at ages 41, 27, then being hit by a ridiculous divorce after 10+ years of marriage does that to a man. But, basically, this is what Christ told us we will be facing here, not what Joel Osteen shouts on Youtube; and, compared to what others got through, it's a small price to pay. I will stay faithful until my last breath because, even though I cannot understand everything (certainly didn't envision starting life back from 0 at 35), I understand enough to have made up my mind about some things.

When rubber meets the road, sometimes, again, one would wish to simply give in to his needs, instead of doing the right thing. Maybe no God above, that would be tempting. Right now, a part of me would like to consume porn. To have made some compromises in the recent past that would've brought me posperity, instead of saying "no". To have said "yes" to sex with much younger women, instead of staying pure and true to my principles. Who could blame a man under whom the rug has been pulled for "medicating"? Yet here I am - two years later - single and doing what I deem to be right for the sake of doing the right thing.

Again, to some I may sound like a martyr - but there were real martyrs that gave up their lives trusting an invisible God, but One Whom, even though they didn't always understand, waved back at them enough times to make them unshakeable in their faith.

I only reacted to your post, to what you had written here.

I do have some insights into my future, though :). Until those come to pass, I am excited seeing God moving things on your behalf. It encourages me.

God, being a Christian that lives life on the edge can be thrilling at times, not only agonising :). I've had tons of the later, now I'm looking forward to the sun shining over me as well. Any day now.

The thing that is sometimes lost, though, when talking to others, is that although God is good we don't always expect good things in this life. Had I not been revealed some things about my future, in other words maybe even going as far as had God decided for me to stay alone until the end if my life, die hit by a tram, that wouldn't have changed one bit His goodness.

I am not living the Osteen life, I see so much pain around me every day and I don't consider myself "entitled" to a good life because I do "good things". I am not bargaining with God although, of course, I wish my life was in another place right now.

Our rest will be on the other side, and that is where the bulk of our answers will come as well. This is not popular with some "Christians" today, and won't build megachurches.

  20. It just all comes down to one thing
Something happened and you have 0 explanation.
    Therefore God did this.
The same like ancients thought about wheather and floods.
It did happened because God was angry or satisfied.
We really like to have control over chaos.
One of those false thinking metode is ide of God and praying.
That I can change something in a chaos by praying.
Thats how religion works, any religion.

How do people win Lotto? Its accident. It happens. Why its never like that that I pray for win in lotto and I win, huh :p
Its not like buddha choosing he will win or he will not. Its acxident, luck
