Today I found out I needed to print some papers and then go to college tomorrow, even when I'm on a supposed vacation, even when I have been going to college every week since my break started.

The place I go to print my things is next to a bakery, and where I live, bakeries are commonly surrounded by children begging for bread or money. So as I go the printing place, which have computers with internet access for people to use, I notice that there is a really loud child cussing left and right for no particular reason using a computer. I try my best to ignore it and just do what I must do, but as I wait for the thing to print, the child runs outside the place yelling and then returned along with another child jumping and cussing happily.

The shocking part of the story is that the children started to look at pornography right there without any kind of shame, yelling and being annoying in general. Then their timer runs out and one of the kids screams "HOLY SH*T WHAT THE F*CK HAPPEND. I COULDN'T EVEN SEE A VIDEO AND I PUT TWO HOURS IN THIS SH*T", then they left. Turns out they are the beggars, and they used the money they got to watch pornography, when I was leaving I saw them begging at the bakery.

I have no idea what to think, but I sure feel sick.

  2. Wowzers! That’s really discouraging to hear.

If those kids are doing all that in public, just imagine what a lot of kids are doing in private.

There was a man here on the forum who once posted about the crazy sexual things going on in the elementary school he worked in.

Just how far will all this over the top obsession with sex go?

Makes me think of scenes about “Erotic Play” in the 1932 book “Brave New World”. When I first read that book I hated it but it’s turning out that Huxley was a prophet.

This is a story right, in which country did this event take place? This sounds way too insane to be true.

If this is true, then well damn.

Very sad. Doing this instead of using the money they got for food and such.

  5. I can certainly believe it. Porn is all over the place now. Entertainers talk about it openly. Here in America there’s a company that sells porn, sex toys, and erotic clothing which advertises on not so late night TV. The AVN awards are no longer a secretive event. Porn actresses and their acts are more n more in the mainstream.

Yep, it’s a story very easy to believe.

I mean, you are right that porn and sexual behavior has become socially acceptable behavior. Still, I am baffled that two kids would use the money they likely earned from begging to loudly watch porn in a public space. I can't even imagine how shameless/low inhibition you'd have to be to do that. Then again, I guess these kids have no reason to feel shame since I doubt they have someone to teach them morals.

As an aside, I didn't even know that such a company with a title like that existed. Nor did I know that something like the AVN awards existed. That's all interesting to say the least.

A country where decency left a long time ago.

When I was in high school I found a condom wrapper and a bra string lying on the floor. We laughed but now as an adult, it is not funny, it is worrying.

The only culture that is left here is the "Quick pleasure" culture. No one will work hard to obtain anything, they will take shortcuts or just do nothinh and complain.

Wow! Where I'm from porn is blocked on public computers. It would be really hard for anyone to access it and if they were to access it and if they were caught they could get into legal trouble. Also goes to show just because someone is begging doesn't mean they need the money. I say give to charities that help the homeless rather than give to someone begging.

Homeless people here are given houses for free, besides other benefits, the thing is that they take it for granted. Sometimes they even sell the houses they were given, normally to waste it in some addiction and before you know it they are begging for money again, of course, in their heads this is not their fault.

There are people who is just not worth helping.

The proof that I know nothing about women.

  13. This story also makes me feel sick and mostly worried too. I've never passed by with kids like that, not like I'm saying that I've only passed by the good kids but I've never heard or seen something to that level.

That's one of the reasons why 95+% of people never achieve anything worth-wile, meaningful or produce anything of greatness (that can help others) during their entire lifetimes. Most are simply slaves to their simple addictions, the mainstream (blue-pill) narrative / social conditioning, junk-television, consumerism, junk-culture and the crappy people around them who bring them down, keeping them there.
Most people simply don't have the awareness, guts or integrity to give up their crappy lifestyles at any time. Mostly because the discomfort it means to step far outside of that comfort-zone is far too big, long and unpredictable. Hence, they prefer to stay where they are because it's the more comfortable way. That is why they will remain slaves to their desires and remain poor.

  17. This actually makes me sick to my stomach.
I have a homeless drug addicted brother it’s not a life anyone should choose. (I’ve tried taking him in but unfortunately he didn’t like me “no drugs in my home rule” and I have a child so she can’t be around that- lots of guilt I carry for not being able to fix him)
Children begging on the street? That just breaks my heart. Knowing they more than likely have an unstable home, little food, ugh so sad.

Porn should 100% be blocked on all public computers. It is way too easy for children to see this shit.

While we might want to think these kids are nothing like we were... think back to playboys. When you first found your dads collection. Perhaps you showed them to your friends? Yes it was in the privacy of a home, but clearly these kids don’t have that option. Just look to this forum... grown men can’t shake this addiction so how can we expect better behaviour from children?

There is nothing that can be done as the world that surrounds them does not care about what they do. Here, once tainted, the regular person will be beyond repair. I just hope I do not get mugged by them in the future.

I don’t think anyone is blaming the kids, as we all know they are largely influenced by the parenting (or lack of it) and their environment. People do sometimes turn their lives around later, but it may take a rude awakening unfortunately. One way this seems to happen is of course through rehab. This is of course a double edged sword, they may find themselves around caring people in a fellowship and go beyond just being clean from substances (unfortunately I have not seen enough community in non-substance based fellowships, probably based on size if nothing else) and actually improve their lives with real community around them – but the other side of it is of course they may OD and die before that happens.

I do not think the kids are nothing like me, but the degree of severity is just much higher.

Also I think since it IS about the environment we could all look at where we are in the scheme of things. It is easy to note this kind of decline especially on an individual anecdotal basis, but it is obviously much harder to find solutions. And unlike perhaps most traditional recovery people, I don’t think the solution is as simple as “a program.” The program may provide the general guideline and a direction, but the reality is those principles are not necessarily practiced consistently or even very well understood. “Being part of the solution” is a nice little saying, but actually doing it and not just repeating it as a little truism is much harder in the world we live in.
