Starting Reboot, Accountability Thread - 90 days

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Jul 15, 2019.

  1. I’ve had good success on NoFap in past months and have had some long stretches of victory over PMO. Lately I have been in a rut with really strong urges and I’m feeling quite ashamed of myself. I am looking to start fresh with a 90 day reboot, abstaining from PMO during this time. My goal is to check in daily to this thread with my progress and thoughts. I’m hoping some of you will join me in helping me stay accountable. I am also a Christian and am hoping to draw closer to the Lord during this time of renewal. I’m thankful for this community, and I’m glad for the chance to beat this addiction. Nothing is too hard if we are willing to put in the work and commitment. I have been off my guard and quite frankly, lazy. Thus, I’ve fallen into defeat. It’s time to get serious and move forward!!!

Good goal you have there of 90 days.
Perhaps weekly Celebrations (with gift; lunch, rewards) would help keep your motivation high?

I'm in a similar situation like you. Need to reboot....... and apply my own 'steps to success'. Here's
a list I made a few months ago. Maybe something will be helpful? Good luck !!!

HOW TO GET VICTORY OVER TEMPORARY TEMPTATIONS
#1 Secret = Get Off Your Butt and Go Outside 2- Go on NoFap and make a post; "like" some posts; give advice -- or learn something.
3- Listen to and Dance to your favorite music (fun and gets rid of excess energy) 4- Exercise, go to gym, go for a walk 5- Go to mall and talk with women 6- Go to store and buy yourself a treat (reward) 7- Do your favorite hobby 8- Call, email or go visit a friend 9- go walk a dog "woof" 10 - Have a "WHATEVER IT TAKES" attitude or mindset 11- Do a good deed for someone (extra points if they don't know who did it) 12- Meditate to help relax yourself; or take a break; or take a nap (remind yourself that you are 100% in control and 100% responsible for your behavior-actions) 13- "All Things Are Possible" 14 - One day at a time

    APPLICATION = SUCCESS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ANYONE CAN DO NOFAP -- APPLICATION IS KEY !!!!!!!!

  3. Love your list! Thank you for sharing. Staying busy in wholesome activities, exercising, engaging with people has been a great help to me as well. A weekly celebration sounds like a great idea also. I plan to keep checking in here and I’d love to share this new journey with you. Stay strong and keep your eyes on the Lord and on the goal!!!

  4. Stressful day today at work, but staying strong and focused. Working on my hobbies and staying involved in worthwhile pastimes. “An idle mind is the devil’s workshop”.

We are here brother to keep you encouraged and focused on your goals, as get encouraged in turn. All the best we can beat this thing. It is 12 days of NOfap and experiencing some significant level of improvement. My morning woods are slowly coming back (although they are still weak). I do not have urges to fap. My toughest moments are kicking off the brain fog, difficulties socializing with people (mind goes blank and lack what to say). I believe it is just a matter of time. There is no doubt, any moment without PMO is a life-renewing moment. Cheers mate!

  7. Had a good afternoon out with some friends just socializing and enjoying their company. It’s great to get away from the computer and electronics and spend time with real people.

  8. Checking in. Went to church and just rested today. Dealing with some depression, but I’m trying to focus on the Lord and not myself.

  9. Staying strong and trying to walk with the Lord. The Lord has been good to me and is giving me victory one day at a time. Just trying to stay busy and focused on good things and thoughts.

God is good! He is helping us get through this one day at a time. Prayers for you my friend.

  11. Thank you! Prayer and obedience to the Lord, dependence on Him - that’s what we all need. I’m continuing to take one day at a time, and I am excited to continue on the path to freedom from PMO.

  18. Way to go! Last night was rough for me but I made it through with the Lord’s help. I spent some time reading through the memes under the Panic button on this site which helped.
