Fantasizing vs Edging

    So Im a bit over 50 days into nofap and Ive been having problems with the thoughts. They typically come in the morning. Usually, I would edge to satiate them and not release, but Im on my no edging challenge for 21 days and instead I just sometimes think about them.

    Question is, how bad is it to entertain these thoughts? I had a wet dream yesterday and I think it is because of this. Do you think I should reset due to the wet dream caused by thoughts?

    I don't think fantasizing it that bad. Some people think it is even worse than pornography, but I do not agree, as long you snap out of it. I have no opinion about edging, some guy here said it can kill you, but his explanation was a bit weird for me.

    I would suggest to redirect thoughts toward your goal. Fantasy may lead away from that and toward disaster. Remember its the first thought that starts the chain reaction, the very source of the next relapse.

    I can't fantasize. It will lead me to MO. Always has.

    How did you get to 233 days? Had I not fapped last year, I would have been able to get much farther along, haha.

    I don't think fantasizing is good for you. It could easily trigger you.

    I have the same problem. Fantasies always come to me when I'm just waking up, and they have a tendency to lead to edging for me. I find it difficult to fight them.

    I seldom sleep on time, and it leads to me waking up very fatigued and... feeling out of it. Leaves me vulnerable, I think. Maybe that's the problem for you too, OP?

    I have the morning fantasies too. It's not great, especially if they're outlandish/unhealthy/unrealistic fantasies. The idea is to break your brain of that.

    A few things that help:

    just force yourself out of bed and into a cold shower.

    And something I tell myself that seems to be working thus far, "If I want it this bad, in order to get it, I need to not think about it. ie, I tell myself that if I want to full-fill that fantasy; I need to not think about it at all. And it actually works!

    What kinds of things do you do to stay away from the urges? Just 30 minutes ago, I had such strong urges and ended up watching an AMSR that almost pushed me into edging further. I came out of it though after about 5 or so minutes. Would you consider it edging in this case?

    Edging is "I'm going to watch this erotic thing for a long time but because it is not pornography is okay".
