  6. I'm sorry you had to do that, that's a tough thing to do. My family and I had to put down our dog of almost 15 years a few months ago. It was a lot harder than I think any of us expected. :(

Good luck, and keep fighting PMO!

That is why I don't want a dog even when I love dogs, you will always outlive them.

I hope you remember her fondly for the rest of your life.

  8. She was my best friend..and I’m sorry to hear that. How did you get over it? I often took her for granted because she scratched up the couch a lot, kept me up at night, etc. but she was worth anything and everything in this world. Fuuck fuck fuck I love you girl, but I know you’re looking over me right now

  9. I don’t blame you :/ there really is something special about a dog. They’re all so innocent and full of unconditional love...

  10. I have to keep looking at photos of her or I’ll go crazy, why has this happened?!

It is better to accept that life ends at some point. Feel happy to know you were able to live happy moments together with her.

  12. I put my little buddy down a few months ago decided at the last moment to be with him during the process . Dogs are truly man's best friend 1000s of years living side by side has joined us together as species .

Mate, that's just awful. Some days are crap. Hold on, be the guy that every dog thinks their human is.

  14. Sorry you have to go through this now, although there is never really any good time for this to happen. 15 years! that must have been one happy dog, so happy you got to have such a good friend for that long. Wish we could have em forever :(

  16. It's easy to take things for granted until they're no longer in your life, whether that be a family member, a pet, or an object with a lot of sentimental value. I think we're all guilty of that in our own ways, and that includes myself. Don't think of it in the sense of could have or should have, think of it in the sense of what you did do, and the great moments you had with them. I've found that it helps quite a lot. After a while memories start to fade a bit, and you do get more used to the idea that they're gone. It definitely leaves you with a nagging feeling like something's missing for a while though, and it can lead to a great deal of heartache in those moments when you realize just what exactly is missing.

Take care. I'm so sorry you had to go through this, it's a heart wrenching thing to do.

Stay strong, and never, ever return to PMO!
