Went 79 days, relapsed, then relapsed twice on day 9.

You know, a month ago I said and I quote, "I feel in control of my life more than I ever have" on day 59 of the streak that ended on day 79 (note I had a 41 day streak prior to this one). I ended up not watching P on that streak, and I just relapsed via M. I got hit with some hard urges on day 9 of my streak yesterday, fantasized, and I responded by relapsing last night and this morning. I'm still in shock right now, and I'm not sure how to really respond to these actions.

Please can someone tell me in all honesty if I've reverted back to square one, and if not, how far does this set me back? And how can I rebound from this?

    1. Don't focus so much on the number of days- it is all relative. Some people take 30 days to be rebooted and others years. You can tell when you're rebooted when you get regular morning wood and have a healthy sex drive, absence of withdrawal symptoms and complete control over yourself. focussing on the days often makes it harder to forget about porn.

    2. if you 'relapsed' to just M, that is unlikely setting you back AT ALL. there is a massive difference between looking at P and simply masturbating; the difference to me is massive. after an M I feel the same, after even LOOKING at P I feel awful. So don't worry about this.

    3. The best ways to get around this from my experience is to first change your lifestyle. I notice that when I socialise a lot and am busy P barely enters my thoughts, and when it does, it is easy to dismiss. when I am alone and bored it becomes almost like an unbeatable demon that gives me intense anxiety.

    4. Don't beat yourself up. chances are you were already rebooted and you've proven to yourself you can do this. Change your lifestyle and just become expert at beating urges and realising PMO is just a lie that destroys your brain and you do not want to end up a slave to this shit in the future. eventually you will have full control over yourself and you'll be good.

    good luck!
