Do you use the ignore function? How much?

There's no need to feel guilty for something you didn't do. You're not responsible for other men. And there are tons and tons of men here who have been nothing but kind and supportive to women.

And yeah, sure, it's kind of sad, but everybody has to take precautions to protect themsleves in life, not just women. Not listing your gender on an online profile is really not that big of a deal. There are women in other countries being legally raped and abused and controlled by their fathers and husbands, so I think we can get over a couple men being a little pervy on the internet.

It's not a sign of weakness using the ignore function at all. I totally agree with that and why should it be a weakness? When it comes to dealing with the confrontation and arguments on the forum. People either use a fight or flight response to it. In the case of ignoring people, it's the latter. Better to rise above the idiot(s) who harasses you than rising to them. They clearly want a reaction from you.

You know what they say, ignorance is bliss.

We all tend to think highly about ourselves and our opinions.

No one asked me to edit/delete it. I did so out of respect for your opinion because you were so upset about what I said.

As for opinions, what does it matter? You think she's beautiful, cute and so on and I personally cannot understand that.

But, I say once again: please, let's leave it. It is not even on the main subject raised in the OP. This is just depressing.

I think I was weirded out because I hadn't had any kind of interaction with them in-thread, it seemed really odd to message me out of the blue asking me where I live.

 

Honestly, I would be really skeptical of that if I had never spoken to the person before. Definitely trust your gut and be cautious when dealing with people online. You never know who you could be talking to.

 

So many of the posts on this site make me want to start using the ignore function again lol. I came here to get over an addiction, not to recreate the immature and pointless types of conversations/arguments I would've had in high school. There's actual problems in the world worth talking about/getting upset over. It's extremely rare that I see something on this site that even comes remotely close to those issues. I have heard that addictions do stunt emotional maturity tho...

Haha. j/K! I've never had to ignore someone online. Other than by ignoring them in my mind and browsing the other 99.999% of the non-porn web. If it was on my phone and getting texts into my home, then, sure, maybe.

 

Have you found that getting a long streak contributed to that? When I was new to this, I was really easily offended over words and others opinions, but I find it's getting easier to not care. We're you affected at all when you first started this?

However, I'm fairly temperamental with my family at times when not properly regimented about mental fitness. So, no great claims top be made except: because Internet. Right?
