I have been clean for almost 90 days. In this time I went to a porn site twice and browsed of like two min but never watched. This is why my counter is reset. I have bad anxiety and fear, chest pain and twice this week I got really lightheaded at work. Was wondering if this is paws or kindling effect. My doctor says there's a little fluid buildup in both ears that might cause the lightheaded and I'm going to a cardiologist to run test on chest pains. I haven't told my doctor about my addiction and that I'm trying to beat it. It's kinda embarrassing. Also I have had pmo addiction since 12 and now I'm 29. Thanks in advance

    Congratulations on your streak!

I don't know if it could be kindling because I don't know your relapse history. Can you tell us a bit more about your habits, the frequency, how long did you edge per session (if you did that), etc. ? :)

Could be some paws that show up. You've been PMOing since 17 yrs ago. Just let the doctors check everything, if you're fine it's probably paws

He is wondering if his symptoms are post acute withdrawal or maybe from kindling

For what i read there, everybody who used porn for several years has been kindling for sure...
I mean, everybody in a span of, 10, or 20 years, has had days where they didn't use porn, ( even not knowing nofap) for a reason or another. I would say every long time porn user has been making his withdrawals and problem worst and worst.

The question is, how does kindling get "activated"? You need to abstain for a month? a day? a week? a year?

It's quite confusing, i mean, if kindling is real for porn users, most of us are broken for life...

It is. And it isn't. Your brain does get comfortable when you frequently use. Then if you break that frequency for, let's say, a few weeks/months and than take up the addiction again, than it's certainly kindling. There's no black and white here.

Few weeks/months? How do we know that information is correct? What about a week or 10 days?

If kindling is real, it's not wrong to suppose most porn users are fucked up for life...

  10. For certain most pmo users have been kindling. However if you pay attention each time you go on a streak that the flatlines days get longer and the withdrawals symptoms get harder. And by continuing on the same road, things can be fatal as a result either coma or death.[/QUOTE]

As i said, if that is true, every long time porn user should be impossible to cure, and have kindled without a doubt.

It's not impossible but it takes a LOT longer to heal. Some people on this forum know they've kindled and are almost 2 years into a flatline/paws but they are still healing but slowly :)

    I'm probably one of those.

But we should be very cautious about this kindling thing, we don't even know if this actually happens with porn.

You know what's funny and strange in my reboot is that I used to go to work a part time as I thought I it would help me heal faster. I have done a lot 60 days streak back to back. Then I relapsed, by 15 days next streak I have felt in coma and I quit the job. Out of nowhere I started experiencing insane withdrawals, it's like my brain stopped working. It took me 7 months to take a walk. I come to conclusion that of all those suffering are the reason of heavy pmo sessions combine with kindling for about 7 years that putting me in this misery.

Wuut did you literally fell into a coma during reboot?

  16. I think what he means is that hes lived life as if hes been in a coma poisoned by PMO and the symptoms. I know I felt like I was in a coma after I started rebooting seriously. It does feel like you come out of a mad dream after a while if that's what hes relating too.

Ya I pmo for past 17 years. Not everyday but most days. From about September 2018 to February 2019 I was pmo once a week. Trying to slowly quit. During this I started to get panic attacks and found nofap and decided that my pmo was causing it. Since March 23 to now I have not masturbated and only looked at porn twice for 2 min but just scrolling not watching videos. I was never really edge maybe a few times but they were never hour sessions
