Creation of tutorial on pornproofing laptop

Why disable all search engines apart from ask.com?
I've never used it, but I'm not sure I could abandon Google

 

Pls make a vid about your pornproof laptop! I'm personally really interested in this point because I also figured to block all content on my laptop in order to stay PMO free, but I don't know how and what works well...

 

To close loopholes. Many search engines don't have a proper safe-search-function.

Just for the record: I voted for "No". The reason for that is not, that I don't want you to share it for others. The reason is, that I learned that there is no such thing as a pornproof laptop. There will always be ways to bypass any kind of blockage, most of which are rather easy to find. I tried basically every single technique to block porn. The only thing I never tried is Covenenant Eyes, because I didn't have the money. If you know what you're doing with a computer, then you will always find ways to look at porn, whenever you crave it.

 

I would partially agree with IR254 but I think having some kind of protection is beneficial and it could help in the minor urges.
When one is looking for porn he will find it; when addiction overcomes me I will find any shortcut available but in generally I hold in mind the fact I am somehow protected and it is not THAT easy.

Actually, I have found another shortcut out of qustodio software...

 

It will help for sure to get over the first days.... but when willpower lacks then this won't save you. You need to fight the addiction and take your power back. Otherwise you will use the next best excuse and oppurtunity to watch porn and relapse

I think this is well-intentioned, but there are multiple variations of how to do it. Plus some people are on different platforms and/or need something for their phones or whatnot. It's almost like a pinned thread offering different approaches would be better imho. For instance, I know a bit about K9 since I've been using it for a couple years now, and I would post in such a thread myself if it existed.
