Does anyone have good suggestions for online porn blockers? Free or paid doesn't matter to me.

  2. check out a couple of the other forums for suggestions. I saw like 3 asking the same thing. But covenant eyes for PTP and K9 web filter for FTP

  3. K9 is free and it works pretty well for computers. The good thing is it works at the network level so it it blocks across all your browsers. You can have it block by any combination of category, url keyword, and/or domain name.

If you're using firefox I use an add on called "Blocksite" and it's pretty damn effective

Je pense que Qustodio est le meilleur bloqueur de porno que j'ai connu. Fais un essaie peut-être tu ne sera pas déçu.

I can't recommend most of the blockers, which got suggested here.

K9 is no longer available for download and is no longer supported by Blue Coat (the developer). Browser extentions like Blocksite can be deactivated or bypassed way to easily. Qustodio works, but their filter is not perfect (e.g. porn sites sometimes don't get filtered or safe sites get filtered). I can't say anything about Coveneant Eyes (never tried it), but I image it's pretty similiar to Qustodio because their systems work similiar techwise.

Other methods, which I tried, were these ones: OpenDNS's family shield, CleanBrowsing's DNS, the Windows host file and Pluckeye.

The first two were okay, but they are easily bypassed if you know what you're doing. Also, OpenDNS didn't block enough. The Windows host file is effective, but it takes a lot of time and effort to block your access to most porn. It's hard to bypass, but you can if you know how. Pluckeye is good, but for some it can be to restrictive. It can be bypassed as well.

So, after using basically every single blocker software or technique there is, I came to the conclusion, that blocking porn is not possible, if you are good with computers. There is always a way to bypass any kind of filter. If you are good with your computer, you will find ways to see porn, when you really crave it.

If you are not good with computers or want to use a filter as a reminder of your goal, then I would suggest either a combination of the Windows host file + Qustodio or alternatively Pluckeye Installation Level 2.
