From my experience years ago, that actually kind of is the case. Not a technically challenging game at all, but it's fun writing, especially as a teenager lol. Can't speak to the newest iteration though

Folks, what about gamification of your reboot vs. videogames?

Any Habitica users or users of orher gamification apps? How does it help with your reboot?

It becomes easy when u dont connect everything to nofap .play a vedio game like a vedio game not as substitute to porn. I said gow frenchise are all good games that takes u through different emotions but all of them are scattered across different part of frencise like gow 3 is vengiance centred, while gow 2018 is about the new bond between kratos and his son. IT IS ABOUT FORGETTING HIS OWN BLODDY DARK PAST AND MAKING THE BRIGHT FUTURE. Also gow 2018 have no adult sbene so go and enjoy it but AS A GAME.

If you want a game that really calms your brain after stressful day at work and has a deep in meaning I recommend Life Is Strange

Its about a girl who just starting college in her original hometown where she grew up with her friend. The game is a walking simulator type but the dynamic of the game is decision making - you make a decision and later in the game the decisions you make have consequences.

Its very deep and emotional. I recommend this to everyone - both guys and girls.

There is also a squeal (storyline prequel) called Life is strange before the storm - don't buy that it doesn't even touch the original.

  7. I have played life is strange. It was pretty good. I wasn’t all that into it to be honest...but I can see why others were. I just burned through it for the trophies.

I really liked it. Some of the decisions were really difficult and this was the first video game in my life that made me cry because of the deep storyline.

The game is quite old now (2014?) so you can get it dirt cheap from steam.

I'm completely sick of video games. at least multiplayer ones. I played 1500 hours of csgo and got it all out of my system. Probably wont play games until cyberpunk 2077 comes out or Rockstar releases another banger but games with competitive multiplayer where you just do the same shit all over again I'm done. If I put as much effort in my life like I did in CS I'd be a billionaire by now aha...
Only games with an actually entertaining story are worthwhile.

I do enjoy multiplayer games, and competitive games, but story and narrative are what drive me more than anything. I got more out of The Last of Us and Hellblade than I've ever gotten out of Battlefield or For Honor

In my experience, video games esp mobile games are far more dangerous then pmo addiction since they are designed to make you play past your limit. With pmo you only fap and release then have to stop for a period but with these type of games they make you keep playing by logging in for daily rewards, energy attacks, chests with timers, guilds for peer pressure etc. Keep doing this for weeks to months and you'll notice how much it affects your brain.

Also, I've read in a study that video games are not good for the brain. And things like reading out loud and writing are good for the brain. Thou, I never really found those that helpful either. In my personal experience, things that you do that requires your full concentration and have a sense of purpose seem to be the most beneficial to your mental health. Only problem is finding these things to do is not easy for everyone depending on their situation.

  12. Games are usually not designed to be an intellectual pastime (games like Portal are a form of mental exercise but that's different). They're designed to be entertaining, they're a part of "low culture". That's not necessarily a bad thing but you'll have a hard time finding profoundness in them.
