So i'm going 60 days until this habit is broken I am no longer getting involved with any forms of pornography, masturbation or anything. I have already locked up all my devices, downloaded covenant eyes, and only keep my phone. I can't even access my email from my phone or google unless I ask my accountability partner to do so.

Some things I have decided to commit to to help me (I don't need anyone commenting about how extreme i'm going to break the habit).

    1. Getting rid of all social media and staying on electronics
    2. Reading encouraging things to keep my mind and "eyes" off of pornography rather old things or new things i've seen.
    3. Devoting my life to staying single (I am staying single because women have been the primary source of me losing friends, depression, all of it.
    4. Learning to be content with in myself

  2. Radical lifestyle change is what is required to break free from a long-term habit. Well done!

When I first got serious about my recovery, I quit my job and got away from electronics for two years. That is what it took for me to break the hold P had over my mind. It was extreme. It was worth it.

I hope you will find the same in your experience! I am wishing you the best and cheering you on. :)

    1. Try it out and see how far it gets you. Technically a bad long-term solution because your brain will only learn to abstain from porn while you have all those safety-nets in place. But if you don't want to keep those nets for the rest of your life you will have to learn to deal with your addiction when porn is just two clicks away. That's much harder. When you quit porn the easy way, by taking away every possibility to watch it, you never know whether you're beating your addiction or just putting it on stand by.
    2. That's key. Dive as deep as you can into new things. Great fuel for motivation.
    3. That's stupid. Sorry to be blunt, but it is. Either pick your women more carefully and/or adjust yourself. You need a woman to feel fulfilled as a man, you can't out-think your biology. A life with a woman and friends is perfectly possible, there's no reason why you should stop trying to get it.
    4. Don't chase that dragon. We're designed to not be happy with ourselves from time to time, that's because we're not perfect and there are things we need to improve about ourselves. And in the moments when we realize and work on those things we don't feel happy or content. And we don't need to be. Happiness should be treated like the weather: If it's sunny, perfect! If it rains, doesn't matter, the show goes on.

I'm afraid this won't do you no good because you can still easily access pornography. If you are serious about quitting porn consider getting rid of the internet altogether, which is what I plan on doing once I get my own place.

What you are doing is the equivalent of a heroin addict locking his heroin away in his house, or keeping his dealer's number in his phone. He knows where it is and how to get it, and so his brain will crave his fix because it is available, and the half-measure he has put in place to stop himself using will only frustrate him.
