NoFap is merry go round for me ... keep repeating myself and not getting anywhere

I'm trying to do this differently this time.

Year's ago I put porn out of my life, cured occasional ED and had a fantastic relationship.

Since then stress from an ugly divorce, continued financial shenanigans related to the divorce fallout, and a new executive level job and no relationship in my life have seen me return to a FAP filled life.

I'm riding on two back to back 5 day streaks ... I started over today and I want to go further ...

Going NoFap just to NoFap hasn't been very motivating. I don't feel confident with women because I am sure I can't get hard. Being sure I can't get hard guarantees I won't. Anyway, some of you other single guys get where I am on that ...

So I'm trying to do this differently. I have the NoFap / no PMO routine down ... no porn, no subs, meditate, cold showers, exercise, etc.

But all that seems just focused on working toward just getting my dick hard. And nothing else.

I'm given up my masculinity. My confidence. Yes, I'm going to feel more confident if my dick gets hard ... and more male ... but feeling more male ... being more male ... I believe ... will help me find it in myself to go beyond 5 days.

Anyone else here come to this conclusion? What have you done? Read? Discovered?

There were some periods that I had a cycle of failures. Here is what helped me:

Make a commitment right now. Set your rules. Not just in your head. Write it down, put it on your wall. Look into the mirror and say it out loud. Do it every morning. Keep a journal. At the first page, write your rules and commitments. Write down why you are doing this. Write down what will happen if you stay this way. Every day, write down what you feel, your progress, the difficulties. But also write down you will keep going no matter what, this is your priority and things won't be the same from now on. Do it one day at a time. Be prepared every day. If you have done it 5 days, then you can do another 5 days. Then you can do another 10. Keep going and stay committed every day.
