    Hey man great accomplishment!!!
    Useless for what?
Do you like spending hours on PMO?
Do you like using human beings intimacy to spy?
Do you like being desensitized to vanilla sex and common beauty?

I can understand that you are longing for some benefits . Please tell us more

Stay strong we do this together

The more you have been pmoing the longer it takes to recover, don't get frustrated it eventually pays off. You also should change other things in your life to become a better person, don't just expect nofap to be a magical tool to solve all your problems.

Hi, just a thought. I'm new to the forum and at the age where I have to realise that porn has had impact on other areas of my life-much more directly than I would have thought. I have to keep reminding myself that it is a slow struggle, but there are positive outcomes. I hope that you can see some benefits to staying clean for as long as you have. Stay strong.

Porn is definitely destructive. Masturbation is as well, though less so. Obviously orgasm isn't destructive--if achieved in a healthy relationship, as opposed to just self indulgence.

Being PMO free for half a year isn't gonna, I dunno, get you a million dollars or anything. But it builds self-control, and better enables you to have a healthy relationship with a real person.

Congrats IMHO we PmO to avoid such feelings. They are not withdrawals they are the reason why we PMO to escape.
Depression . Emptiness inside anger I have been experiencing them much more since the reboot but as said above I can now deal wirh them much better and understand the underlying suffering.

Getting professor help is useful if they understand Nofap.

Suicidal thoughts are dangerous. Often transmottoby family . You don't want to stay alone with those. Go see someone

Man, you shouldn't think of NoFap as a challenge. It should be regarded as taking first step on the path of deep lifestyle change journey. If you only remove PMO/MO from your life and keep everything else the same, you will actually feel worse then before (with exception of binge masturbators like myself, who literally used to exhaust our bodies on daily basis), because you removed "stress coping mechanism" out of your life. Unresolved stress factors will built up over time and you'll relapse eventually (been there, done that countless times). What is needed is to find the cause that brought you to PMO in the first place, accept it and adress it properly. Be it through therapy, meditation, yoga, prayer... whatever works for you. Here are some tips how to implement lifestyle changes on daily basis you might find useful (I know I do):

PS: I've also been diagnosed with chronical major depression/general/social anxiety in my early 20's (38yo now) and I'm battling with it my entire adult life. For what it's worth, the single most effective thing helping me with depression and anxiety has been daily aerobic exercise. No SSRI has been as effective and they have quite bad side effects (anxiolytics do help but I advice you to stay away from them because they're highly addictive - They're OK to calm acute panic attacks, or REAL highly stressful life events, but that's about it). That being said, exercise is a reliever not healer. You must identify and work on your core psych problem at the same time. No matter how painful it might be to face it.

A former alcoholic can still be depressed and anxious despite no longer being addicted to alcohol, the same can be said about people who are/were addicted to PMO.

On a positive note though you know that nofap isn't the answer that you were looking for and can cross that off your list now since you've abstained yourself for a long enough period of time.

Start looking at improving other areas of your life that may responsible for you experiencing those symptoms. There's quite a few options being mentioned on this thread already and on this forum overall.

    Kind of.

I've done more days than you, and after almost a year i thought nofap was a placebo...

The thing is, nofap benefits are largely exaggerated anywhere, from the ybop site, to all the videos on youtube, to all the internet forums, included this one.
Nofap will give you advantages, but not even remotely the ones many talk about, and another thing is, withdrawal symptoms are extremely underrated by the community, nobody talks about them, but they're worst than drugs withdrawals...

So the truth is, nofap will just make you normal after a year of suffering, it won't make you superman, it won't make you smarter, it won't make women more attracted to you, it won't make you better at the gym, it won't make you handsome either...

  14. Normal is what we're going for. It's a lot better than being a slave to PMO. PMO leads to death, destruction, and isolation. We seek to be free of that kind of living death. We want to be free and just live! It is a fight. It is worth it, imo.
