Relapsed because of stress

    Hello,

    It's really difficult not to relapse because I feel that I don't have support. Finding an "accountability" partner just seems so hard.
     
  2. Learn how to manage stress effectively. Stress happens because you're trying to control something external to you. Remember bro, you can't control everything, but you can control yourself. Practice meditation everyday, spend more time in nature and less time on your devices and exercise everyday. That should help. You got this!

    Same here - just come here and browse around, offer some encouragement - I find it helps me stay in the mindset of rebooting. Just keep working your reboot with the community and eventually it will start to break up. There is a lot of emotional garbage underneath driving it. I can help you with accountability just let me know.

    Thanks for the encouragement. What would you suggest when there is a lot of downtime and depression or boredom settles in especially during the weekends? Thanks for the constructive feedback! It's appreciated.
     
  5. Have a plan for the boredom and down time. Have a plan for when you're stressed or triggered by something. It may feel mechanical at first and that is fine. If you want to be different you have to do different. If hanging out at home alone for a long period of time is when you act out then acknowledge that or whatever the situation is and figure out something else to do.
    This is real work and takes real effort to make the changes necessary to get healthy. You can make those changes.

    You will find something - I game some, music, raise rabbits, I have a small business and write so I have no excuse to waste time with it
