Sunday check-in. 48 hours without porn.

I was so tempted last night. I was in bed feeling tired and a bit crappy when my willpower is depleted. Luckily I didn't succumb to it. Stay strong everyone.

  3. I relapsed after 12 days and I'm at the bottom again! So this time I'm the one trying to keep up with you! Let's go!

  4. Even though my last streak ended after 12 days, it was 12 days with no edging which was good. I will build on that.

Hey, been out a while. A friend was visiting from out of town a few days.
Am doing much better these days than before - it is in a limit - however there is room for improvement.

New start - don't know what happened this week - several relapses - perhaps because I am very tired at the mo. What does everyone think? Are you more likely to relapse if you are tired and/or stressed? CitS

I believe any strong emotion could be a reason for some people to relapse but those 2 are from the most common reasons.

  9. Yep, stress was always a big factor for me. Dealing with stress without P and M is one of the hardest parts of nofap, in my opinion. Self-acceptance plays a big part in that, learning to cut yourself some slack will help you get through those tough moments.

Hi everybody sad day to me, I relapsed. My P is not on the screen but worst with girl neighbours that I've saw and got trapped like with P. I want to win this battle against me. I'm in anguish and pain on my heart and feeling like I betrayed everyone I know. There's no way I can block this windows so I have to stop watching on my own which makes things even harder. I haven't lose hope I've seen your stories and they give me hope for a future without PMO.

Sorry to everyone! I'm reseting now.

Like the band newsboys says : "Oh lord, I'm a different man You gave me a second chance
I was lost, I was fallin' apart. But you came along, and you hit the restart"

  13. Checking in day 51. I will have to go on straight hard mode for at least 50 days now since I had some texting and touching myself (no M, no edging, but touching some parts of my body - self-massage?) during last week. I need to focus and get clean now because the things I mentioned used to lead me to PMO in the past - maybe they won't now but it's better to be safe.

Yes definitely! Especially stress. For me, in the past month, I have been good with my PMO goals, but I became very stressed because of work 3 different times and went nuts on junk food. I am supposed to be on a keto diet, but that is not going so well at the moment. I have gained back about a third of the weight I lost over the winter and am worried about putting the rest back on, after all my hard work. Still, I would rather lose my willpower with food than with PMO. My keto counter is at 1 day. It's about digging deep and finding the motivation and discipline to stick with your goals when life gets tough.

Hey man. There's no way you're gonna make any progress when you beat yourself up like this. You need to cut yourself some slack and realize that you're human and that relapses are part of the process. Two steps forward, one step back. Ease up on yourself.

    Quick update. Day 39
All going well. Have discovered a new technique when trying to go to sleep and urges try to get me. It’s based around meditation and one of the OSHO techniques for meditating to go to sleep. Works wonders!! For those that meditate I can share the method, as it may make more sense to those that already practice.

    Other updates:
    • Daily life isn’t causing too many issues with triggers.
    • Still feeling fine in the 30+ day range now
    • Scarily, I’m really enjoying cold showers now... loving the bite of the cold water... feel like there’s something wrong with me now :)
    • I’ve got a few weeks off now, and will be travelling with the family, so I may have more, or less, time to post here. @artifact so you know, please don’t remove me if I can’t connect for the next 3 weeks!
    • I’ve been really interested in what @fleurette has posted about being able to sense PMO guys. I think it may have something to do with the sense of confidence and where their heads are at. At least this is what I’m feeling now, and why interactions are so much better.
    Keeping strong.

  17. @EcoMunchies could you please share this technique? Sounds interesting.
Regarding PMO guys - yeah I can sense that to some extent I think. I saw a guy walking when commuting to work and I was 100% sure he was the PMO type. Seemed very tired and distracted at like 8 am. It is more difficult to sense that in girls because they know how to put their flirty appearance on when going outdoors :D I myself have noticed that I tend to sense others' emotions better and I am more willing to help, nurture, and (which I love) am becoming more flexible in stressful situations.

I’ll try and find the right passage in OSHO’s book and post it here.

Ok, here’s the link to the OSHO meditation method. It’s not the easiest reading, and does require you to know about Prana, Third Eye, etc. http://oshoworld.com/tantra_medi/otantra.asp?news_id=7

After re-reading that link above, I realise I have mixed a couple of Sutras together!!

SO, I’ll simplify what works for me in this method here:
    • Eyes closed, muscles relaxed, slight smile on the lips.
    • Breathing in and out naturally through the nose
    • Concentrate on the breath, on the inhale and then the exhale, on each breath, and the cycle of breathing.
    • On the inhale, you are breathing in new life (prana). Feel that new life coming to the top of your head, like topping up a golden warm oil pot.
    • On the exhale, feel like that golden oil is starting to flow over you, from your head, then on the next breaths further down you to your neck, then body, warming you.
    • I find that this helps if, with my eyes closed, I am focusing my eyes on the point between my eyebrows (the third eye), almost feeling cross eyed!
    • I get a really warming sensation and the intense focus on the breathing, prana and then flow oil warming loving oil, pushes out any other thoughts, and before you know it, I’ll be asleep!!
I realise it may not work for all of you. Those that have practiced meditation may find it easier.

It may sound crazy... but it works for me.
