Am I allowed to eat shit food?

    Is eating unhealthy food harmful to process? I want to heal my dopamine receptors, so I can talk to everyone with confidence, so I can learn again, so my brain feels sharp all the time. I'm just wondering if food is harmful to this healing process. Like I just eat a bunch of white chocolate and I got a big dopamine rush from it. I'm still avoiding porn though. My discipline with that is as great as ever and unhealthy food doesn't make me relapse. I just wanna know if its damaging to the brain. I don't give a fuck if its just generally unhealthy, but I don't want to be at 2 months of nofap and only have 1 month of process, cause food set me back. Help?

    Maybe it's an unorthodox advice, but actually, I think that you should be kind to yourself during this process and allow yourself to choose the food you want. From studies on willpower, we know that we have a fairly limited supply of it, meaning that it's hard to quit a lot of behaviours at the same time and we should focus on just one.

    So have your white chocolate but also incorporate food that is good for the brain and that helps it heal. Polyunsaturated fatty acids in the form of EPA (in omega 3) is essential for neurological development in adults and most eat way too little of it. Also monounsaturated fats in avocados and olive oil has brain benefits.

    Tea (green, black and white) is super for lowering cortisol levels, you will feel a lot less anxious. Limit the coffee.

Junk food is extremely damaging to your brain, junk food leads to cancer, diabetes, illness, addiction, you are literally murdering yourself when you eat junk food, i cant preach enough on this site about how bad junk food is, give that shit up man, no junk food, processed food, processed sugar, eat natural foods, fruits, veggies, fish, meat.

    How about if you eat a mixture of it? I do eat lots of fruits, veggies, meat and natural foods. But I do also eat some unhealthy food now and then, when I run out of time and need something quick. And drink a few glasses of coke in a week aswell.

Is watching porn occasionally fine?, is shooting up heroine occasionally fine?, is intentionally breaking your leg occasionally fine?, if you think any of these things are fine than sure drink that toxic acid drink of yours. I love my body and i will never treat it that badly again, junk food is evil, its stupid to put poison in your body.

  7. No matter how strong your willpower is, eating unhealthy food has exactly the same effect as cocaine or porn. Most of my relapses were related to excessive sugar, I used to cutoff sugar completely, then a time comes and I'm like I will just eat one, then next day 2 then more and more, at the end the sugar does not give enough dopamine and I find myself on porn with all that sugary energy. If you know how smokers quit and start back with just one smoke, same story. Please cut it off completely and instead of sugar try lots of fruits (but not juice)

That is why i cannot allow myself to eat junk food at all, i am the type of person to where if i allow myself to eat or do something bad, i always do it more, like relapsing, generally when you relapse you do it multiple times after words, you cannot give your brain something it used to crave or still does crave.

    White chocolate is literally just sugar and cocoa butter though. Its not like theres anything fake it like artificial colours, preservatives or vegetable oils.
     
  10. White chocolate is made with cocoa butter, sugar and milk, making it high in saturated fat. While white chocolate contains a good amount of calcium, it isn't a healthy food because it doesn't supply significant doses of other essential nutrients to make up for the high calorie, sugar and fat content.

    Don't start this saturated fat is bad for you bullshit. It's the only fat that occurs in high amounts in nature. We have been eating saturated fat for as long as we have been eating meat. It's the artifical vegetable oils which are bad for you, which are used in 95% of households and the majority of restaurants. They are also extracted with very high pressures at very high unnatural temperatures. They are also extracted with chemical solvents such as hexane. Also the amount of fat you get from a little bit of sunflower oil is very hard to get those high quantity of polyunsaturated omega 6 fats in nature.

    Hmmm, in your counter you have Meeting my goals. You said, that you want to get confidence to talk to people (same for me :) ). But is this your only goal? Nofap gives you drive and energy, you can spread in every sphere of your life. You can be more athletic, wisdom, disciplined and in these directions, junk food slows you down. In terms of recovery... maybe, do you feel you eat junk food as a substitution of satisfaction you would get from PMOing? You have to answer this.
    I am not against fat at all, but be aware of white sugar - this is true murderer. GL

    I'm far from meeting my goals. I'm just trying to get to a high streak, as at my largest high streak which was 7 months. I was confident, had a clear brain, had crazy amounts of energy, went to bed with crazy amounts of energy, but was able to sleep easily. Now I go to bed exhausted and can't sleep as easily, lol. I was able to talk to anyone and my life was getting so much better. I set myself back heaps and ruined a lot of opportunities by relapsing after 7 months. I'm a little over 19 days at the moment, as I think I reset my counter just over a week to late, so I'm actually almost at a month, but not 100% how many days. I could even already be at a month, usually my confidence comes back after 2 months

    True, but I personally avoid all artificial colours, vegetable oils, preservatives, artifical sweetners and anything else that is a random chemical. White chocolate may not be the best, but I'm far healthier then most people and I like a treat. At least white chocolate is some what natural and isn't full of anything fake

    In my experiences, eating anything too much (even healthy food) did affect negatively to my mental health. I notice i eat too much when i'm depressed, even just rice, bread and cabbages, carrots ( i consumed a lot of grains), i just couldn't stop eating. Last week, i consumed high amount of white chocolate and felt like getting sick after that. Water is the best thing i can get, but don't drink it while eating, some suggest that.

    You can eat junk food but in moderation. I think that once or twice a week is fine.
     
  19. Instead avoiding junk food all at once, you should just add healthy food to your current diet first. Example: Eat white chocolate but at the same time eat a bunch of vegetables. Progressively lessen the amount of junk food you eat and you will eventually not have the urge to eat it.

  20. That is a good way to quit junk food slowly but I do it cold turkey, 3 days craving but much faster results. I heard from a really good doctor saying "craving is a good sign that your body is cleansing". Once your body is cleansed then there is no craving.

    I tried 100 different diet to loose belly fat and none worked until I stopped eating sugar and processed food. Basically my diet was preferably organic veggies and fruits only.
