Life without PMO still sucks

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Fenix Rising, Mar 12, 2019.

  1. I don't intend to preach.. but just sharing my experience.
Me, my health really transformed with going plant based, I am very grateful for the changes happened in my life since making that change.
I consider Nofap to be essential as well.

Veganism is effortless for me (while before i was heavily addicted.. i couldnt imagine living without animal products but i wanted to make myself proud with a challenge) Nofap is effortless most of the time.. but regularly a struggle as well.. but gotta keep it going. Of course we need to do our best in all areas of Life, it's not just absence of something, but cultivating the right ways (to the best of our ability and understanding) in all areas of Life.

Man, I know exactly what you mean. I am having the about the same thing happening. I wasn’t expecting super powers, but I was expecting more positivity, energy, less fatigue, better mood etc. And don’t get me wrong, I have felt better and some really good days, but I was hoping by now it would be a lot better.

    Great thread thank you
    Hope you are well

Having a long streak did not make me happier but allowed me not to escape and take care of my real issues underlying my P. Consumption'. Which is already quite good.
It also allowed me to regain confidence in real S' maintain and erection and enjoy vanilla S with Mrs Sam without wanting more.
.S. is not anymore the center of my life.
I do believe in the selfish Gene theiry and that we are hard wired for craving more dopamine)
Depression passes like all the rest. In my case I believe it is closely linked to the high expectations I have and the oressure I out on myself. They say No pain no gain but it is also no brain no pain...chaneing my mindset from wanting to accepting was decisive.(maybe)

it is less about being satisfied than accepting dissatisfaction

Stay strong we do this together

  4. I think it's time you forget about nofap and look for a new goal/challenge in life (not saying relapse, but I'm saying stop prioritising it). You've conquered the habit and It's time to move on. What is your passion? What is something you really wanted/want to do? Do you have a gf? Do you have a good job? Anything. You need a new challenge. It's like a video game (not sure if you can relate but I hope you understand), once you finish the game you will obviously get bored of it. And what do you do when you get bored of a finished video game? You buy another one to play.

Hey, dude, your post was very interesting for me because since I am a religious catholic, I consider masturbation and porn as a sin, more than cause-of-disease, even when i watched porn and masturbate myself I felt empty and bored.

First I just have 2 days in the program, I started the last sunday just after a confession with the priest, and it will be funny because he warned me that even If I quit from porn and mastubation my soul will be restless in search of of hapiness because we were created for to enjoy the full hapinness of God and since we are not with him yet, our soul and hearts are restless, so even if all of us quit all of our bad habits we will be
dissatisfied with life because this life is not the heaven, yes it is hard.

yes, there are some testomnies of people saying that NO PM give them more energy, but there are no proofs that were because NO PMO, you should nurture your soul and spirit and in myself it will be only satisfied with my faith on GOD, of course there a lot of other religions, spirituality, but they do not convice my reason, remember faith and reason are complementary not antagonist. serch for a belief that could fit the reason with the faith.

During my reboot there are bad days and good moments, overally I feel much calm, my hands are not shaky anymore, some very good feelings are undescripable, and there are hours of being highly anxious, these are the moments we have to be very cautuous. I am trying to learn planning, what hapens if the urge will come? It will come for sure, the idea is to be prepared. keep going Fenix, you can do it!
