Hi guys I am a 24 year old male, I have suffered financially and emotionally because of the sex addiction, it all started with porn, masturbation and it gets worse and worse day by day. I thought of putting a full stop for this destructive behavior today. please stay with me so I can stay accountable. I know that we all can do this !

Thanks everybody- I believe different people have different ways of going to same solution:) But any way anybody here can suggest anyways to resist the temptation or the urge to seek out more when you see something/someone more than the usual 'hot' ?

Everyone has different reason and their own methods to deal with problems. Having religion or being atheist is OK and it's basic human rights. This is 2019. No need to make it a big deal. As long as someone's belief does not hurt you physically/mentally, you have no reason to being mad by someone who believe in God and asking others to do the same. Of course if that person start to threaten you or force you to their belief, we might as well kick them from this group., but I see no harm here. I too believe in God, but my main reason to be here is not because I feel sinful (I do feel it, but it's probably my least concern), but I am sick of how I became unproductive, awkward, and being unlucky bastard after each time I fap. I need to make myself a better person, regardless of my belief.

Hmm... It's really hard. Those withdrawal symptom will surely hits you. When you are too happy/sad, it is likely for you to seek PMO for your own pleasure. I suggest you to :

    - At least until you reach the common 90 days goal, minimize contact with that "hot" friends of yours. We all do have certain friends that despite not trying to seduce/flirt , in my case, one of my friends is that chick who have all physical assets needed by men from a woman (i won't tell you, but let's not imagine things to ensure none of us relapse lol). I simply mute her social media, instagram, twitter, etc. It's not keeping distance, you may still contact her if you need. If you have girlfriend and your plan is simply to quit porn and masturbation (PM Only), you may still have sex with her.

    - Unfollow social media of those celebrities, models, local hoes, whatever. For now.

    - If you frequently go to gym , make sure you DO gym. Not staring at someone's body while you are lifting.

    - Make yourself busy. Seriously, the number one reason I fap because I have nothing to do. I could watch and fap 3x straight (with no break) in a single day because other than campus, I have zero things to do at home. With all of the hot girls in my campus plus high speed internet at home, I have chance + time + imagination to do whatever I want. Now, I keep myself busy by learning some web dev stuffs. You know... PHP this, Javascript that, so on. If you are productive for a whole day, the stress and tiredness from work will make you crave for sleep, instead of sitting in front of your laptop ready to jack shit.

    - Exercise regularly. Daily. At least 30 mins per day. No excuse. Even if you are not in NoFap, this is a must.

    - Finally, accept and acknowledge that sometimes you can not prevent urge just because someone is hot or you see something that turns you on. I am not telling you to relapse. I am telling you to accept and say it in your heart "Yes, that girl is hot", "Wow nice body", or whatever compliments. You may think dirty, but if you speak (loudly/in your heart) whatever thoughts inside your head, usually that thoughts will be gone. Let say you meet one cute girl on the road. You can't avoid everyone, and you don't need to. Just give yourself (for example) 30 seconds to think of her , after that STOP. Back to your business. I do recommend you to truly count those 30 seconds and say STOP as soon as it's over. It's a good practice of self-control, and for me, NoFap itself is not about fap, but to restore your self control. You should lead yourself, including your mind and body.

This isn't a forum about self-actualization or on how human consciousness works so I'm not gonna argue with you about how religion is just complete bullshit. In fact I don't even wanna talk to you 'cause I neither like you or the disgusting mainstream nonsense you're saying. All you need to know is that you're a kid, that you're lost and that I'm superior to you in some way.And the fact that you reacted to my comment (and probably gonna respond to this one) just proves my point.
