    I love that man, it's a really good way of looking at it.

    The reality I was trying to escape was just negative emotions. I was feeling bad about gaming instead of studying and going to practice (like I had intended to).

  14. Most times when I feel bad about something I go thru this mental exercise where I see the source of the "feeling bad" as a belief and then realize that it's not likely true.

    Remember from Tony Robbins where he talks about limiting beliefs and how you can overcome them? I used to not fully understand them when I first started. Then I only applied them to core beliefs like "I'm a bad person" or "I suck" etc. You know the ones that are somewhat consistent day after day. Later on I realized I could apply them to those temporary feeling bad moments as well and smash them to pieces.

    Here's an example. I'm traveling right now and away from my gf. Yesterday I went the whole day without sending a text, phone call or marco polo (video) to her. It was like 6pm and I'd left at 8am. My mind said "oh wow, I'm not a good bf to her since I didn't send her any messages" It went on to add to that by saying she's text's her friends and family more than me and we're not really close. As soon as I had that "we're not really close" thought I started to laugh because of the obscurity of being in a relationship and being "not really close".

    I remembered to see it as a belief (even though its just temporary) and immediately thought of thoughts that disprove that belief. I realized I was traveling all day and she was at work. There's days we communicate a lot and other days we don't and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just how it is and there's nothing wrong with that.

    The whole feeling bad moment was over in like 2 mins. I've read and listened to the beliefs talk enough that its become almost routine.

    I've not mastered it fully because there's ones that are much much harder and take a longer time to process but the smaller ones are getting easier.

    Hopefully this helps you see that gaming instead of the things you wanted to do, doesn't make you a bad person. You're just a person who chose games instead of the other things. You don't always do that. It might be more than what you want but everyday you get a free reset button that allows you another chance to make different choices.

    Day 0, went 1 day but i PMOd, what did it for me was that i was searching escorts. I had no plan to PMO, but decided to look at the escorts near and it happened. Very stupid. Lets try again.
