WHY DO I KEEP RELAPSING?? NEED ADVICE!!

    Hi guys,

    So about three weeks ago I completed 14 days of no PMO. Then all of a sudden I relapsed out of nowhere, and this week hasn't been great. I tend to get one full day in and then the following day, I complete 2 PMO cycles. I've relapsed about 7 times this week.

    I just don't understand. Those 2 weeks of no PMO were absolutely incredible. My wife started noticing a major difference in me, and I started looking at her in a whole new light. Why do the urges come back so strongly?

    Even in the midst of the relapsing, I still feel better than I used to before I started the last 14 day streak -- perhaps a subtle shift has already started within me even though I am still relapsing.

    How can I get back on track? What do you guys do when this happens? Any advice would be wonderful!

    HI ! Congrats on the 2 week streak, and that your wife is happy for you, now the thing is why you relapse. When your trying to remove something that the body is used to, it doesn't like the change it starts fighting it and the urges are stronger. Now you are developing a habit and its easier to get back up. I suggest that you put on a filter on a phone or computer whatever your using. And one thing most urges can come from social media, there is a chance that you can see something triggering anything really a pic,text,thumbnail,ads especially.

    Welcome, you are at the right place, and there are a lot of good people here!

    First off, congratulations for 14 days no-PMO. For many people, it can be a milestone to get through 2-3 days. Take it from me man. I PMO'd 2x/day every day for 8 years, early morning AND late night. I still look back and wonder how did I function at all....

    Take a look at my counter man. I have had my impressive PMO-free streaks, and my no-so-impressive streaks. Every relapse HURT and set me back. It is totally normal to go through the chaser effect, where the urges are at an all-time high immediately following a relapse. Usually mine came in 2-3's, where I could get a good double-digit amount of days going PMO-free, but once I relapse, I just know I will end up PMO'ing 2-3 more times in the coming days. The first 2 weeks tend to be the most cursed for me. The urges are high during that time,

    You mentioned that you and your wife noticed a major difference? Aren't those PMO-free benefits AMAZING?! Both physically AND psychologically. On my first streak, I have definitely seen changes.

    1) Bigger and stronger erections. I JUST always KNEW I was bigger. During my years when I PMO'd 2x/day every day, I was left with a "baby carrot" penis... I couldn't even get an erection no matter what I watched... Now, I am doing just okay. My morning wood has returned within a week during the time I first started NF. The problem is, when I relapsed, I really set myself back... the best thing you can really do is stay away!

    2) I totally believe you on how you "...started looking at [your wife] in a whole new light." I had amazing experiences with women since. I stopped being that guy who was PMO'ing at home on a Friday/Saturday night. For once I wasn't the guy being rejected on the dancefloor. I was having amazing dates! I had a romantic experience during a Eurotrip (see my signature for the whole story. I'm still looking for a lady in my life, but I beleive it's going to happen sooner than I think. I was lonely

    3) You WILL look better. PMO will drain the light from your eyes. PMO will make you look "dead". It literally will suck your soul. Also, I have been getting in amazing shape lately. Instead of burrying my face in my laptop, I started working out like crazy. I am in one of the best shapes of my life. Make working out your new addiction!

    4) I have less brain fog these days. I have motivation to do amazing things. I got a badass full-time job and this year I added grad school to it. Also, staying busy is the key to success.


    It is normal to have urges. This is an addiction.

    You need to identify the triggers that cause you to relapse. For me, the number one culprit was letting anger, loneliness, and rejection get to me. I would come home rejected, and I would log on, and well, you know...

    Do you ever feel like getting that "just one little peak"? I deleted my Instagram app. I might come back, but right now, I won't... Actually it is quite possible that I never will! I spent too much time scrolling through eye-candy. Next thing I knew, I was addicted to p-subs, as in non-nudes, but pretty close to nudes... swimsuits, yoga pants... eventually, I was pulled right back into PMO because I wanted to look at something "more".

    Be careful of the "MO loophole". There was a time, I felt I could just MO just so I could relieve the urges. I only meant to make it a once in a month WITHOUT visuals deal. It seemed to work, but I ended up with unintended consequences... once a month turned into once every two weeks, that became once a weekend, then literally 2-4 times in a weekend. I ended up looking at P-subs as well, despite vowing to NEVER use visuals... I ultimately relapsed and now I have every intent to go hard-mode for 30 days.

    Again, congratulations on 14 days. You can do this!
