im 18 going to college soon and I need to stop fapping, since around the age of 12 I've been doing it and I've realised how much of a douche it's made me, I can't speak to girls without staring down at the table, I'm uncomfortable around practically any female. I'm quite athletic, tall and healthy but this fapping to porn is making me lethargic, tired, constantly bored. I've tired to avoid fapping since the start of 2019 and when I go on 4-5 day streaks I feel good but I just can't help and ruin it, I'm truly addicted I really want help because I want my confidence back I want to have energy again, porn is ruining my life and I want to stop it before it gets worse.

First time in a long time without porn heard the first couple aren't that hard, had a few urges here and there but I'm going good so far. Just like any other day after porn consumption I was unable to conversate with any girls with staring at the floor or avoiding them completely; hopefully this can go away and I can express myself

You are only 18. You will acquire better skills of talking to girls over time. Especially during and after college.
Try to keep yourself occupied or engaged with friends/work as much as you can.
Basically just limit your free-time or down time as much as you can. If you can get to 10 days I imagine that’s a good start.
But maybe set realistic expectations for yourself in the beginning. Just set a personal goal for how many days you want to go without or something like that

Well you've just taken the first two most important steps.

    - Acknowledge the addiction, agree your life would be improved with out porn, and be motivated to change
    - Discuss with others here.

For me, the first step was hardest. The next steps arent going to be simple, but you'd surprised how breaking the problem down to its fundamental root cause, makes your path easier with much higher degree of success.

Having just joined yesterday, I'm surprised this conversations doesnt come up all the time. The current method in all new threads seems to be
JUST FIGHT IT FOR XX days. trying to fight it off like trying to hold up a falling wall could actually make it worse for you in the Limbic part of your brain, where all these urges start.

I could just give you the answers and steps, but it would be more effective for you if you researched this and came to these conclusions on your own, its all there on the web.

I'll get you started in one word
