I feel really confident despite a relapse?

On day 12 of nofap, I managed to relapse by accident (I. E. Experimentation ) and for some reason I feel like I can just restart right now and keep going.

Basically, I don't feel like I failed or that I have broken my longest ever streak (yes it's only 12 days but for me that's the longest yet) , it feels like I accidentally tripped in my travel in life (metaphor) and that it is nothing to cry over, or even close to the sort.

I'm just wondering, my earlier relapses ended up with me feeling defeated by my secondary brain (you can guess) . Does my will to keep going say anything about my progress or am I such a severe case that feeling bad isn't an option?

    Thanks everybody!

  2. generally your guilt and shame is delayed a day, if i am in a super good place 1 relapse wont hurt me to much but be careful, it gets super hard after a relapse because you gave in and now it will be very hard not doing it again, youll think oh i relapsed yesterday so doing it again wont hurt me, dont believe that, a relapse usually always leads to more relapses. Its hard gaining momentum back after you halt it. And yes not feeling to bad about it can be a positive sign of recovery but you dont want to keep shooting yourself in the foot.

That's good because you subconsciously created a mindset where you know its okay if you fail because you're going to reach a never-reached-before streak right away ;)

  4. it can be good but generally not, i thought what you said myself after i relapsed, but i ended up falling back to old habits.

Maybe deep inside you didn't really believe in what you were thinking

  6. What he said! At some point you realize that you’re learning from your stumbles and that next time you’ll kick ass and move on standing high.

The last few stumbles I had I knew what caused them and took action to do better next time.

I still get urges but learned from past mistakes. Coming here to the site is one of the things I do to get victory.

You can do it, keep in the battle!
