What it's like to be a porn addict

I am in the same position as u , kinda. It started with me the same , middle school then high school then college . I am good looking too , yet , cant get girls . And tried drugs then hard drugs but stopped and got a grip on my life .
Started to hit the gym , and fighting this addiction . Also i used to be a heavy smoker and then i quit for good a month ago . Am 22

Same old same old. It truly is an epidemic, destroying everything on its path. How on earth can people still claim porn isn't a problem when it's story after story like this on here...? Porn makes people lazy by sucking the life out of them, depressed also by sucking the life out of them, infertile and perverted. The biggest favor you can do yourself in life is to either never ever start watching porn or if you have to get it out of your life for good. It's gonna be the hardest thing you'll ever do but the alternative ain't pretty either.

 

Same situation for me and many of us here except for the hard drugs. That sounds very dangerous, you should seek some professional help

Dude, you're still young! You have all the tools to beat this! I became sexually competent from 25, your case is definitely not lost. The next 10 years of your life will be CRUCIAL in how you develop further... Seize that opportunity, you just have one run. Hit the gym, work on your body, cut out the porn and drugs, reduce your media and screen time and start doing thing you love and create something beautiful! Watch some Jordan Peterson clips on youtube for inspiration. Carry your load and you won't feel useless

Being porn addict means giving away rational thinking, clear mind, self-respect, respectful attitude, energy and happiness just for a couple of scenes that you will regret later on.

Some may deny the ability to be addicted to porn. Then why would we fell withdrwals like depression, anxiety and lonliness when we stop watching porn? more like quitting the use of drugs.

Life without porn is very nice. at least you will start feeling normal again. you will appreciate small things in life that make you happy. You will have energy to engage in beneficial aspects. Just push yourself at the beginning, the rest of the road is easier.

 

Right on! I won't deny my addiction to a natural chemical stronger than heroin. It's dopamine, and you can suffer withdrawals from it. My symptom is acute anxiety. Today has been hard. It is a real addiction, with a real recovery curve to face.

Was porn the reason or a symptom of your social anxiety? It might be good for you to invest that more deeply.

But that shouldn't be an excuse for you to not talk to girls, fall in love with them, date them. Better don't think (how) can I bone this girl? instead think how you can approach her (if you feel like it) and how to have a good time with her.

Which is probably not just a neutral discription but indicates that girls ARE IN FACT attracted to you. You don't have to be a pick-up-artist to get something going!
