I need immediate help. I wake up and relapse almost every night

    Hello everyone.
    I've had this problem where I keep waking up in the middle of the night and relapsing without even being able to think. By the time I already relapsed, it kills me to think I unconsciously failed. I usually edge and stop myself before I orgasm, but sometimes when my phone's around, I peek it up and PMO. I've also lost some great streaks because of it. If anyone could provide help and or guidance, that would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Obviously you should avoid leaving your phone in your bedroom, but you probably thought of that already.

    You could leave a book near your bed so you can read that instead. Also, have an mp3 player nearby with music, podcasts, whatever on it (an mp3 player with no internet capability).

    Or just get out of bed!

    But I know you're saying it's kind of involuntary. It doesn't have to stay involuntary, in my opinion.

    I sometimes wake up thinking about girls and it makes it hard not to relapse. A cold shower is a good thing to do.

    Im going to keep it real. Look, we live in this world but we choose to make it a cold world. Theres nothing wrong with my computer but i choose to do something wrong with my computer. Everyone here is here for the same reason. Porn is a negative aspect in our lives.

    What do you desire out of nofap?
    Dont answer what benefits it will give out of nofap.

    I was tired of wasting my time and energy on porn. It had ruined my life. My life became much better after I did NoFap.

  7. Something to help you sleep better at night if you have trouble waking up frequently? Maybe also physical exercise a while before bed so you go to sleep exhausted?

    I do all of them except jogging. But how is that going to help? Would going to bed when I'm very tired help?

    The bad part is that I wake up about an hour after I go to sleep and relapse. I think my tiredness would have gone away by that time.
     
  10. Doing exercises such as sit-ups and press-ups a few hours before bed can be good for making you sleep well.

    I have the same problem. I can go through the day abstaining from PMO. Then I'll wake up in the middle of the night and PMO. What helped me a lot is paying attention to how I feel before I go to sleep. If I feel any lingering urges I'll meditate before sleeping. Just as an added precaution I'll turn off my phone and use a old school alarm clock to wake me up. Hope this helps!! Keep up the fight, you can do it!!

    Thanks for the advice. :) I sometimes do this, but it doesn't seem to work for me at least. :(
    Seems like a good idea! Actually I meditate every night but I don't pay much attention to my urges. Last night I controlled my urges with a specific meditation technique and it worked! I woke up in the middle of the night but I didn't touch my d! Thanks :)

    Keep your phone in another room. As for your PC, K9 allows you to completely block the internet for certain hours a day. Just make sure you set up an accountability partner so you can't bypass it.

    Thanks for your suggestion, but I don't use my PC for PMO. And I also have no difficulties in controlling myself throughout the day, but at midnight it becomes a problem.

    Thank you! I use "Take 3 Plus 10," a technique I learned from Cory Muscara (a very great meditation teacher).
    Have you ever realized that when you are in an urge, you have weird feelings and sensations in your genitals area? Like a kind of urge in that area?
    In this technique, you take 3 deep breaths, while feeling that you're softening around that urge with each exhale. (Like you're kinda soothing it)
    Then start to count from 1 to 10 slowly. After that's over, you'll be back into reality :)
