A quote of a rewire companion from the rewire companion app

"This was where you could stop, but you didn't.
Sleeping with phone in your room is highly risky.
    DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT!
What kind of human you are lifeless, desperate, ashamed, all you can do is fantasise things which you can't really achieve. Ignoring the reality, you can't face life, you can't do anything but dream. Dream! Dream! Dream! That's all you can do."

It's quite aggressive but a good point is there. Are we going to dream about quitting, or are we actually going to do it?

I really like telling myself that relapses teach you a lesson for next time, like I find out a trigger which I can avoid for next time kind of thing... I have been trying not to feel ashamed of my relapses so I am more positive about my progress and less looking back at how many times I failed.
The thing is, at what point are we justifying relapses and using education as an excuse to nut?
I remember seeing a sex scene in a movie and thinking, "lesson learnt, don't watch this movie or i relapse that night", then relapsing fully justified that night because I learnt that I was triggered. A few days later and boom, another 'justified' relapse.
Watch out for this - don't let learning from your relapses cause you to justify your relapses.

People look to the weekend so they can piss it away and do nothing with it... but then complain about their lives the rest of the week.
Maybe weekends aren't for pissing away - maybe we can do so much more and fix our lives if we stop pissing away our life.
    My life is my own.
Life gives what you put in.
    I will work.
    I will break my back.
    I will get sweaty.
NO! I will not stay down.
    I will rise up.
I will set my own standards.
    I will do it.
I am my own and I will not be pissing away any more of my life!

True, the only thing I disagree is that progress is lost with a relapse. I think It's partly true in the early stages, but the longer the streak the less effective a relapse is to progress loss if at all. It's anecdotal and so I believe it can be different for everyone though.

    We are on a path.
A future you only has ONE PAST.
What is your future selves past going to be?
Right now, what are you doing? You are judging you for it, you are staring at yourself, mocking you, thinking how weak you are!
Prove future you that you are something more. Show you that you are on your way to becoming you and than you will be weak no more!
Future you wants you to succeed and a future you has succeeded... I bet you're just before the memories of the victory when you finally quit.
    Keep pushing!
Remember, future you is judging what you do.
