So I’m on Day 17 and I’m feeling even more socially awkward than I did before. Is this a normal part of reboot process?

I don't think you became more socially awkward in 17 days... Practice exposure therapy and you will overcome it. Have problems talking to people(women)? Start small.... "Hey, do you know what time it is?" etc.

No I’m not saying it took 17 days to get here. It literally took decades and aggravated I’m sure by excessive P use ... until 17 days ago.

What I’m asking is it normal to feel MORE socially awkward for a while during a reboot.

It’s making me think about giving in. One of the reasons I’m doing this is to regain the social confidence that I used to have but I lost.

You get confidence by being brave. It's better talk with wavering voice than not at all, because that is when you lose your ability to speak. Nofap affects only your voice quality, but it is you who speaks. Not everybody will appreciate that you speak but you should do that anyway. We all die some day, no need to be afraid.

No, it made me less awkward, more confident, and a desire to socialize more. Probably because I was horny af and willing to sleep with anyone no matter how she looked lol

So... no setbacks, no flatlines, just all rainbows and butterflies from the day you decided to quit. Awesome! I wish I was you.

I don't think it goes like that. Unless the brain has never used porn, it will be shock to quit at first and there will be withdrawals in the later stage of quitting. Nobody can escape that. Our brains work the same.
