I want to know how effective distractions like music and video games are when it comes to nofap. Both of them I enjoy and I want to know if maybe if I feel like relapsing if it would be effective if I just replaced with another activity like the ones mentioned above.

If you can replace each time then its good.Just make sure that music and video games refresh you and those should not be a problem. That is also sex transmutation. However I always consider perfect sex transmutation is when you replace fap with diligence and nofap is no more a challenge for you,its a way of your life..

Well sex transmutation as Napoleon Hill(who researched for over 25 years studying minutely countless successful people and also has written a whole chapter about it)says sex transmutation is redirecting your sexual energy through creative means like studying, your career or anything positive that will give you success and happiness. Its very simple to learn but hard to put into practice and here goes two links for understanding it.If you could go according to it nofap will be a lot easier and you can get years of never ending streak. The original chapter:

And this article is also fabulous.

I use my free time now on my study, and it's maybe strange it looks like i have a better focus when i'm alone in front of my computer without the urge of PMO. I'm only on day 5 maybe the storm is coming near...

even if you replace it there will always be that one time when your bored to not do ANYTHING , end up in front of your screen with nothing to do , you must go out or try to work on building your will power muscle and how to find the reason of why you should stop PMO , just work on controlling your mental state , how to stay positive even if you are angry or tired .

Hey maybe you can offer me some words of solace, or at least your own opinion on this matter.

I thought I was doing good, making lots of lifestyle changes, working towards improving myself and setting goals.

But today I just felt this void inside. Like a discontentment, and unhappiness. Could I still be withdrawaling? It's like I want to feel satisfied, why am I feeling like there is a void inside me still, it's as if I can't find enjoyment or pleasure in anything. Is my brain still healing you think? Maybe I should start doing cardio more often, I probably need the endorphins daily, to prevent falling into a mood like this, especially in the winter.

    Thoughts?

Edit: I shouldn't say I can't find enjoyment in anything, because I'm watching The Guest right now, and it's highly entertaining, I love every minute of it! So I guess my theory is, my brains reward center is still healing itself, and to feel pleasure in daily life, it takes something intense like exercise or a great movie.

That was a great read. Not to mention the first time I've read so many words from start to finish in a VERY long time. I'm surprised he didn't mention Tesla at all, who spent his entire life celibate and is responsible for just about every modern concept of electricity we have. I would like to know what he thinks about this because the entire second half of this chapter was basically "in order to be great, you need a woman". Granted, that's how I feel, but it seems like a very destructive mindset to cultivate. I guess this is geared towards the more material / Western philosophy of attaining stuff and raising a family. But I believe man is perfectly capable of harnessing this energy (as well as the others) without a monogamous sexual relationship. To truly be free is to be happy with yourself, and to truly love is to love all things unconditionally. I guess. Fuck if I know, really, but years of idealism has ingrained in me certain things, these beliefs being one of them.

Badass new word of the day: "Libertine"
