Death Grip Recovery = Brain Recovery?

So since I've been looking around and researching certain aspects of recovery and I saw this 'death grip' thing and it seems to me to be a different sort of recovery from the rebooting of the brain where the dopamine levels return to normal, as that is a neurological factor whereas the death grip seems like a purely physical issue which is caused by the same thing but is a different thing entirely. Is this true, or am I just taking it the wrong way? More to the point, without PMO or MO, will the death grip's effects be reversed in the same manner as my brain?
