hey guys i've heard that after about 2 weeks in you get lots of benefits like confidence,
motivation etc.... but when the flatline comes all these benefits suddenly disappear.
And that after the flatline these benefits dont come back or at least not like they used to be.

    is this true or not?

  2. In my experience this is true.
Benefits are lost, you get used to it.

They aren't lost. You dwindle on the absolute baseline. From your point of view you are constantly at the lowest, even if your lowest is way better than your average and even best while pmo-ing daily/your failure report.

So while you are at the lowest you may also exhibit behaviours such as anti-social and self-depressing thought patterns, which just naturally happen when there. But you have to understand it isn't so. It's like constantly being on the last rep at the gym while hungry and probably stressed out for the day. You have breathe, let the tension go and be in the moment. Be free and dwelve deeper into reality :).

Flatline results from porn withdrawal. Once you're over your porn addiction, semen retention will not result in flatline.

    maan. I relapsed. again. sigh

  7. i dont think there is a clear and linear line of progression as it
relates to the number of days. probably quite variable too depending
on the person with things like age,P exposure, diet and what they are doing to better themselves

in my limited experience seems like great things are happening
all the time while on this journey. but i do notice more pronounced benefits
around the 3 wk mark and beyond.
one of the incredible benefits ive found is increased energy and
    recovery with physical exertion.
this summer i rode my bike 200kms in just over 7 hrs.
incredibly i was able to go to work soon after and
iam 45 and work a heavy labour job.
this was on day 104 no MO

Im at day 34. Since 2017 i had about 7 relapses. With failure you learn the different mind games your brain plays to trick you into masturbating. I have to say though that the energy and confidence and stuff is gone and I feel depressed and keep thinking i can't find love because i don't know if I even want to or im just being brainwashed by media.

I won't lose my dignity for anything! My last relapse gave me such a great lesson. As soon as i ejaculated the pixelated female absolutely disgusted me even though when I started the video i said to myself i was gonna keep going no matter what.

    Benefits doesnt dissapear.
But you get used to be normal.

Often my brain tries to trick me, like there is no benefits, it's all placebo etc. It's just the first week you feel this huge super powers.

Then i have to think back before i discovered nofap in 2014, i have been on and off, had some streaks for 90days and some shorter, never been back to where i started though .

Before i started nofap in 2014 my life was crap :p i har ocd, anxiety, problems holding a job, connecting with people and the list goes on!
Today i have no ocd what so ever, little to no anxiety depends on where i am pmo wise .
I've got the same job for over 4 years where i have good friends whom i love to talk to.
Even now when i go on a heavy relaps i get thoughts of wanting to quit my job, life sucks etc. It's then i know i have to never start fapping on a regular basis again if i want a good life.

  10. @Neveragain27, wow, you've consequently stopped masturbation for for years now. As I understand your message, you have relapses from time to time. So you didn't loose the temptation to masturbate still?
Maybe this is a premise to not loose the benefits, too?

  11. Non-linear journey but generally improving.

Everyone is different but benefits never go away unless you choose to stop being productive with your life. Nofap will help you but only if you are disciplined enough to stay away from porn and edging all together. Also don't expect to become a new person if nofap is the only thing you do. If you eat junk food, drink and smoke every day/weekend, spend your free time scrolling through hours of facebook, instagram, or video games then your are just trading one habit for another. Nofap is usually the door that opens up other opportunities in life.

I agree with what has been said. I don’t really believe in super powers but more that you are losing the things that are holding you back e.g anxiety and depression and start moving toward your natural self.

It might feel like these “new powers” have disappeared after a while but you have just made drastic changes in your life and it might be that you are just getting used to them.

It could be like you have just “levelled up” and are on a more challenging level that you work through. Each level stripppng you of more shit you don’t need and encouraging more positive traits.

It’s hard to put this in words as everything we go through during NoFap is our own personal EXPERIENCE. This is why relapses aren’t a bad thing cos we can learn so much from them e.g the feelings before hand, triggers etc.
