    hi guys

I’m really struggling with my obsession to transwoman/trans porn. It’s pretty much the only thing that gets me off.

I’m a 32 year old straight married make.

I had to do a medical semen sample recently and struggled to O. The minute I watched some trans/transwoman p, i came within miliseconds! It’s like my brain is wired after all these years!

Is there any scientific explanation as to why straight men find this topic such a turn on? I’m familiar with the porn on your brain and the dopamine rushes, but is there a specific reason?

I’ve always wondered is this because a trans person has breasts, long hair, good bodies but a penis too? Almost like a complete sexual fantasy?! I know so many Men who (mans man type)pretend it’s not a turn on but I know deep down it is.

Finally, if there are any trans people on here, I want you to know that I don’t find anything wrong with being trans, nor people being attracted to trans people. I believe you deserve to be happy in life, and always live a life that you want, not for others✌. I’m just curious as to why straight men get such a rush and addiction to this category of p.

    Cheers

Theres actually a very simple explanation for this, and it all comes down to how the male brain processes arousal. When you look at transexual porn, the brain sees the female traits first, and becomes fixated on those, and basically ignores the male traits. Transexual porn is like an optical illusion, it confuses the brain and this is why so many genuinely straight men are aroused by it, because, on a subconscious level, its the same thing as regular porn to them, and as long as it gets them off they dont care. I imagine some men are turned on by it in the way you describe but at the same time many more arent. The element of taboo also makes its allure stronger.

Having said all that, you only get to that point after becoming desensitised to regular porn, so the best course of action is to simply stop watching porn and masturbating. Things will return to relative normalcy in time.

I think this is right at least for one type of male transgender porn user.

I think there are some men who are straight, or basically straight, but have a thing about penises too. They go for "chicks with dicks".

But some straight men I think are just looking for an exaggerated femininity, and trans porn can appeal to that.

There was an article I read somewhere that explains the science behind it, and I cant for the life of me remember where I found it. I suppose the point is that its a grey area, I wouldn't say that anyone with a "thing" for penises is completely straight but at the end of the day its up to the individual to decide whats right for them. Its when porn gets its hooks in that things start to get murky.

Fair enough. I don't know about that. You may be right.

My real point was just that some straight men are really not watching this stuff to see penises - in fact they may try to avoid that side of it.

@A346 Heck I say if a trans girl gets you off, you should go out and hook up with someone who is transgender! (as long as your spouse is OK with that, its for science!) Sometimes its easier to pull the curtains on a fantasy when we are face to face with it for real. You'll know right away if it's the porn or not this way.

No no no, this is just addiction progression. Just like a heroin addict, at first a little gets you high as a kite then overtime you have to up the dose. Im sure it never started with this... it probably started with "vanilla" things and then that wasnt enough. Some guys get into shi* like bdsm and fantasize about rough sex (me), some escalate to weirder things, yours happens to be trans porn. You need to reboot and get your brain back to "factory settings". Trans porn is very common among male porn addicts, ive watched it a few times. You arent bi sexual or anything else, most trans porn viewers are straight men who drank too much porn kool aid.

  9. Don't worry about it too much. It's your mind needing something more extreme than it had last week. An escalation to try an find something to keep getting what it needs. Once you are away from those things it will return to normal.

You watched so much porn that you needed something extra crazy to enjoy it still.
It's like all addiction you just got bored of snorting coke now you're injecting.

I'm in a similar situation, OP. In this Google Talk a neuroscientist tries to explain at some point that attraction to trans women. It's similar to what some user above described (your brains gets confused about what it observes and gets interested), which is not completely convincing to me, but well...

As they say, for me it started with a sort of escalation process... trying to find new interesting things, and getting curious about new weird stuff.

Goog luck. Maybe we can talk later.

  15. Thank you for your balanced approach to your question. I know for a fact that being trans can confuse or threaten str8 guys because of the attraction, but also would say that, in my experience, every guy attracted to a trans woman is uber-straight, w zero tendencies in any other orientation.
    I agree with this.

Anyway, I do not want to get into (or get drawn into) some big debate of trans issues ---- I really wanted to share this TEDTalk video (which is the same fellow in the other video above) that has some interesting observations. It is insightful and funny all at once...but beware of TRIGGERS:

Anyway, you shouldn't get too worked up about the curiosity levels of this genre implying sexual preference tendencies, but overly active obsession and addiction may draw you deeper into the porn rabbit hole...whatever porn draws you in it eats up your real-life experiences and distorts---our brains are wired to get the max endorphin feed for the least effort.

The attraction of many str8 guys (it is never ever gay or even bi men attracted to us) to a trans woman is a combo of (1) often-times a hyper-feminine presentation of the feminine form coupled with (2) the taboo and novelty of the unique.

Again, in my own experience, very straight guys are attracted and have zero self-questioning around the attraction. No soul searching or hand-wringing, rather all effort translates into pursuit and conquest.

You seem like a really nice person. Thanks for your respectful framing of your question. Really --- it is rare and hence wonderful to see and experience here on NoFap. :)

^Great points! I know this may come across as brown nosing, but yes it is true Jamie_K is a good friend.

Now I've never fapped to TS porn etc but I guess I had the same limited self beliefs as some of the guys in this thread on my views about TS people. The thing is guys you're trying to demonise your porn habits by taking a TS person and stripping them down to an object without a personality or heart. When you truly get to KNOW and talk with a person that is really the only way to find out. What I do KNOW is Jamie_K is super considerate and caring, so if any of you wanted to ask her questions regarding your fantasies I'm sure she'd be happy to answer.

Let me tell you a story. The third or fourth time I tried nofap, my fantasies were all over the place for a couple weeks. I was, at one point, quite addicted to transsexual porn, same as you, so of course, it was one of the things that I fantasized about during my first couple weeks. One day, the fantasies became more than I could handle, so I gave in and relapsed to exactly what I had been thinking about. What I ended up watching was a transsexual having sex with a woman, I didn't want to resort to straight up transsexual on transsexual because in my opinion that's the same as regular gay porn, and I'm not gay. Anyway, I find a video and start watching it. And then I realize something. That transsexual is very clearly just a man. They all very clearly look like men. I'm not attracted to men. It was gross, so I stopped watching it. Moral of the story is that you'll get over it eventually.

Really interesting, because i watched transsexual porn mainly for the penis and the feminine looking body.
