So, after going thirteen days clean I relapsed last sunday, and again on tuesday, and thursday, and friday, and saturday I stayed up all night until 10:30 am(!) sunday morning, I have recommitted myself to this cleaning, but I was wondering if I have lost all advantage from my previous streak and am really rebooting from scratch, or if this is a new round but I still have the gains of last round?

  2. After multiple relapses you will have lost any progress you gained previously. Be prepared for a 3-day chaser effect each time you cum.

  3. My experience has been that EVERY time I PMO I am only further potentiating the neuronal pathways that cause the addiction or habit. However, any knowledge you have learned previously is still applicable and if you've made a habit of using NoFap that is really helpful.

For me it's like starting from scratch last time. I've done a week then messed up then another week and the same thing.
Whether I quit for a day or a week I feel the same when i relapse and don't see the benefits until at least day 3.
    Good luck man!

  5. @reconditioned mind is correct. The "progress" I referred to as lost (after multiple relapses) was in rebooting the reward circuitry in the brain.

Well, that is slightly more hopeful than your first reply.

  7. Sorry I wasn't clear. You will continue growing in experience for sure. In fact, relapse contain vital information that can inform your ongoing strategy to manage temptation on the future. Always analyse what happened and identify what you could do differently in the future. Best wishes, @IGY.
