Stuck in a rut

    I'm now at day 38 or so of the 90 day challenge, and I've been having a reoccurring problem. I keep getting these incredibly disturbing thoughts, and then this very odd feeling of anxiety, my face physically getting hotter, and a very odd sensation in my groin. It's difficult to explain. Then, for the next couple days, I go through this mental dialogue of trying to convince myself that what I was feeling absolutely wasn't sexual arousal, because only a filthy degenerate would feel anything other than disgust at these thoughts. I know it's not arousal because I don't get an erection, not even a wiggle. I then go through a bout of mild to moderate anxiety for the next couple days. Has anyone had a similar problem?
     
  2. Dude, throughout my nofap journey since the beginning of this year I have been in absolute anxiety hell. I feel you. Everyday I wake up I have to wonder how anxiety will fuck with me today. It’s brutal. Part of me is like “well fuck this...at least I was functional back then...I’ll jist go back” but now whenever I relapse the anxiety beats me down to a paralyzed frightened shell of a man that can’t leave his bedroom. So now it feels like I’m stuck somewhere in the middle. The intrusive thoughts keep coming back and definitely don’t help the process....especially when my wiener won’t move. My brain has been in a constant whirlwind like state ever since I started nofap.

    I don’t have any answers for you, brother. I just want to let you know that I’m right there with ya.

    Dude, I still remember my half-way mark. It was terrible. I became so depressed- probably some mental rewiring or just straight-up withdrawal symptoms. They are inconsequential and will disappear in time. Just weather them out. Our experiences seem different, but they both began in the 30-day mark.

    Erections will spring back, you've gotta wait for them. They'll come. Your dick ain't dead, it's your mind. It takes time and you can't fastforward this process.

    I've just started this 90 day challenge today - I'm worried that I might have to face up to anxiety? I used to pmo almost every night (at least 5 times a week) up to 3 times a day. It's been this way for the past few years on and off, but I've never gone more than a week or two without it... Is my case as severe as you guys? Sorry if it's a personal thing but I am genuinely worried this'll happen to me to, id appreciate any help

    Following, I’m finding intrusive thoughts very hard to deal with also, day 20 for me but I’ve had them for sometime now, I wish I had some answers for you friend..
    Try looking at Wonderbro on you tube he may help you with a little relief!
    Try downloading the Headspace meditation app, free 30 day trial, have a good cry..it’s hard mate I know but keep pushing!!

    Cheers mate! I'll definitely take a look into those two, whatever makes it easier hey? I've been meditating for 10 minutes a day and that's really helped me too

  7. Oh God! Is this what is going to happen? I’m on day 15 no PMO and today my D is doing absolutely nothing. I can’t feel anything. It’s raising real anxiety in me to think it won’t work for days, weeks or months. I have had feeling at least the first two weeks. Say it ain’t so..,

    I appreciate all of your responses, I've been feeling pretty well the past couple days, and I'm happy to be approaching the halfway mark of the 90 day challenge. It's definitely been an exercise in willpower, but I think it's safe to say the second half is the easiest.
