    Dear rebooters.

To infinity and beyond.... one moment at a time.
Goal is 90 days, but only the next moment/hour/day is relevant.

These are my first few days of no pmo. (3 full days, today my 4th probably.) Just visited a group that is on this subject in the 12 step tradition. Not sure if this is for
me. I really like Nofap though. A lot of it rings true for me.

I am also a 13 year sober alcoholic. To swallow the pill that I now have an addiction to porn has been really hard.

However I know I can work with this. I have before. And I do have more tools and experiences then I had before.

This weekend I have deleted everything. All porn, all chat accounts. All free porn site accounts. Put in a blocker.

The stories on this forum are really inspirational. Insightful, recognizable and good tips to get through your day.

Till now I have no deep urges or extreme horniness. That will be the proof in the pudding. We will see how that will be. Maybe if I have to I will try a cold shower... brrr... cold water.

Take care all and thank for your attention.

So here we are... Had an ok day. This place is certainly inspiring. Behind the computer some sites are so close to go to.
That is scary how deeply that is in my system.

I had seen this before. Today I saw it again. "Why I'm done trying to be "man enough" Very inspiring.

May it be inspiring to others.

Read the book "Breaking the Cycle". I highly recommend this book if you are on the nofap path.

9 days. Read a lt of stuff on here. Getting lost in other stuff, Netflix etc. not a p-sub. But not as productive as I would hope either. Still dealing with chronic tooth pain. In general that is ok, as far as it can be. Happy with my progress though. Really watching my viewing of women in public. Try to re-review all as people. I was always also interested in theirs personality. And I found the problem in the wording itself, "also". For me not good enough, see people as people. Also as people is still also objectifying. So working on retraining my mind.

Hey, 15 days.. wow. I am doing well. I talk to others about what is going on. Not in alll details, but yeah nofap. I get positive feedback. I do not feel I have super power. But I feel better. I am more in line with the rest of what I want to be. :)

Working on loving myself. So a few songs that help me and might help others.

Had a meeting today. It was good to be there.
Yesterday I was with a friend. We talked about dating and what might go wrong. What is my fear? Why be afraid.
Then he showed me this video... On point. I hope it also works for you.

I am so horny right now. So close to go over. Hard to resist. I am resisting. I know I will feel bad after. Omg first time I have been as horny as I am now. Just writing it down. Hoping writing it down will help me. It is hard. Geez. But i want to keep my 19 days.

  9. Hang in there man, you can do it. Many others have techniques to help with urges. I hope you can check them out and they help you.

Newlife: I enjoyed reading your journal and posts. Though I have not viewed all the videos, I did want to thank you for sharing. As long as you're reading, consider Jack Kornfield's, The Wise Heart. I've been making my way through it for the last month (I'm a slow reader) and find a lot of what he talks about to be very relevant to recovery and rebooting from PMO. Power on!!

Thanks @IncenseCedar. I have that book. Maybe I should reread it. :) Now again rereading my own teacher Mingyur Rinpoche. Always helpful. a lot of the stuff is different now...

I'm there with you, NewLife. I love going back to reread books only to discover new things and applications as my life has changed. Nothing is permanent, everything is connected, we have no-self. Basic tenets of life and good ones to live by in recovery.
