Would LOVE to hear what's working for everyone, it can be simple as thoughts oyu are thinking, new behaviours, what you aren't doing, AP, anything as simple or detailed as you would like!
examples: mediation, breathing, AP, journalling, eating healthy, new habits instead, watching videos inspirational, ANYTHING!

    Let's lift everyone up!

Must admit going to this forum is a massive help as it helps you keep track of your progress, and you have somewhere to go when life gets tough..

I also find the Pokemon Go mobile app to be an extremely good way of staying outdoors and using energy I would’ve in the past used up on PMO.

I'm pretty new here but i feel like this forum is a big help.

I started marking the days on which i did not masturbate in a calender. That helps me be motivated to fight for one day at a time ;-)

That's my goal too but I seem to need that motivation to start

  11. I have done this too on a little year long calendar, and the x’s filling up are what keep me going.

Plus artwork and writing because it keeps my hands busy. Going to the gym feels better and I love working on making my body feel better, and my social interaction with women has become better as well.

  12. Vegan diet absolutely works wonders (in my experience), way less cravings & urges than when i used to eat meat and dairy.

Also what helped me a lot, is to see pmo and nofap totally differently. First i constantly had this mindset that with nofap i had to give something up, that i take away from myself something good, nice, a little pleasure.

But now (i try to) see it not as giving up something valueable, but actually as getting rid of something crappy and worthless (pmo), like a relief that i dont have to do that anymore and my body & mind can rejuvenate. Its not the same, but i like the comparison with a drug addiction. If a drug addict has the idea he is losing something precious, he will still crave it, but if he actually understands and sees its a worthless thing, he is happy he has gotten rid of it, and his mind will not long it (a healthy person doesnt feel he is missing something by not doing heroin, bit of an extreme example but you get the point).

I have to admit my thoughts are not always like this, and sometimes i do get urges and feelings of wanting to do pmo, so i also have to use strenght and willpower (sometimes), so i think what works the best is a combination of the right understanding, strenght, determination. I need to stay humble, cuz ive noticed when i begin to feel like.. i got this, its so easy, a relapse could be behind the corner.. have to stay vigilant, and at the same time remember how fake & worthless pmo is (maybe not short term, but definitely long term)

interesting keeps your hands busy, I never thought of it like that! "Plus artwork and writing because it keeps my hands busy. Going to the gym feels better and I love working on making my body feel better". I LOVE THIS!! I'm putting it into my journal.

I can only copy that! I started working out on a daily basis. Keeps me busy plus my confidence level goes up and up...
Oh and it's great to fall asleep quicker (i always M before going to bed).

  16. I used to be the same way, my wife was away for the last 10 months and I couldn’t go to sleep without M and O. I also have been taking cold showers for the last three weeks.

  17. Do it good sir, @theforce. My artwork and passion has greatly increased. I also started and finished reading a book (the Dead Zone by Stephen King) in the past 3 weeks, so that also kept the brain busy.

Locking up my dick in chastity device so i am unable to PMO. 100% success rate, only thing is you hurt your ego, by not succeeding "by yourself". worth it for me.

Analyzing what triggers you have. For me, it was MJ use, boredom, and being alone. Also being very aware of your at-risk times and maybe planning ahead for them.
Staying out during the day until my girlfriend came home. Removing lube and other "tools". Using an internet blocker (I use a $20/year blocker called Freedom that blocks specifically selected URLs.
Admitting my problem to my girlfriend was a hugely important step. It wasn't just me in the game anymore, someone who had been hurt by my habits was now a part of this project.
Realizing your end goal. I have not made it to 90 dies and don't think that I ever will. I see myself continuing to string together 10 and 20-day streaks. But I've noticed my emotions and my behavior change, and that was the end goal. My work so far has brought out change and I plan to ride this wave.
If you don't plan for your end goal, you won't have a way to gauge progress. Obtaining nofap "superpowers" isn't specific enough. Everyone started this because they saw something about their life that they didn't like.

Thank you for sharing. I know it sounds trite, and I'm going to say it anyway, it IS POSSIBLE 90 DAYS, I am over 90 days+ no porn, I would never get there but I did. IF my journal is helpful, feel free to read it. I know my coutner says less than 90 days but other thigns working on I haven't been back.
