insomnia

    Sorry to hear about your dad, that stinks. I agree. I find having contact with people here is a huge help. We all understand what each other is going through. Peace to you, and strength.

    So, the last 2 nights have started with cold sweats and then 45 minutes here, an hour there of sleep. I had a great nights sleep 3 days ago so I guess this is the pendulum swinging back. At least I finally had a good day. Most over the last 34 have sucked. I see my therapist in a few hours so I'm sure she'll tell me the same thing. Recovery isn't a straight line. I'm still moving forward.

    Hi dear! I'm on my 18th day of nofap and I have this insomnia issue. Is your problem about insomnia solved? I'll be so grateful if u guide me about ur experiences through this issue.

    I've been on-and-off with insomnia. This was a helpful thread. I wish I'd found it when I started. I went through a lot of what was on the first page. I use foam ear plugs, Hearos, 33dB every night. Sometimes I even put in silicone putty ear plugs on top of those. We have a lot of low flying planes out here (very inconsiderate!!) and so I need all the sound-muting I can get. Other than that, my sleep has evened out a lot. I hve been sleeping the best in a long time in the last week or so. I hope it continues. Before that I was up at 3 or 4, unable to sleep again.

    I think insomnia has a lot to do with wi-fi and smart meters and other EMF. I want to get one of those farty bed canopies but can't afford it. I decided to try using psychic programming to create an aura sphere thing that will protect me from EMF. IDK if it works but I can't afford a $1000-1500 bed canopy so it better work. I've been able to keep going back to sleep until 7AM most mornings now. Workaholics Anonymous helps me a lot too. I think Workaholism is about under-lying fear and worry and anxiety (which has Post traumatic stress underneath that in my case) so going to those phone meetings has helped me be less prone to insomnia.

    Also working a daily nofap program. So I'm not up all night craving PMO and thinking "maybe I'll just edge a little". I go right to sleep. My nofap program just means I attend the forum for about an hour a day, if not more.

    OP, I am in the same boat as you. I'm going through a crazy episode of insomnia.In the last week or so I must have slept only for 3 hours on average every night.

    Check out the r/insomnia Subreddit. They may have some useful tips.
