Guys.. I don't need to explain it you, what is PMO. You already know how it works...

Now I would like to know your views on my question related to Law of Attraction.
While Masturbating, aren't we do what Law of Attraction tell us to do. By doing that we attract what we think of? In other words, we think about girls, we watch it, we feel it(very intensely, with all love etc) and our mind is so much into it that our body ACTUALLY responds i.e ejacuation.

So the question is, Why I haven't attracted it until now.... its been years of continuous visualisation and feeling good for what I imagine then why I don't have what I had visualised.
Whats missing in my practice? why law of attraction isn't working when it comes to this, what we think about daily i.e SEX.. a real sex with person. ?

  2. Because it´s just masturbation, a self-pleasuring habit focused mostly on yourself, not caring enough what´s happening around you anymore. You objectify the exchangeable women only, probably not even able to remember and distinguish one face from the other, after a week is gone. So you attract fake lust, but not true beauty or any real women and any female qualities beyond their bodies or even love. For love you need commitment or passion: you would happily be willing to sacrifice your selfish habit/addiction to find it, if you really would want it. Try it. First things you will probably attract much easier after stopping, might be sudden oppportunities for lust and sex. And if you resist them long enough, like you did before with masturbation, you may hopefully find love someday.

Yea, I agree its a self-pleasuring habit. I thought Law of attraction dosent care what im looking for, it just provides what I think of...
one point I liked is that the women I think about changes all the time as mind gets bored of one women.. it switches to another. maybe this can be the reason. I think you are right.. I should look for love not lust... because love is focused obviously on one person but lust jumps from one women to another all the time..

I haven't read the Secret, but I suspect it is based on the hermetic phrase "as above, so below".

Watch carefully what that means. It doesn't speak of your conscious self which would more be "here". Instead, it speaks of "above" and "below", which are both anywhere but here. Surely it leaves a lot of room for interpretation, but you can have a modern one if you associate the "above" with the outer world and the "below" with your inner world, which is unconscious for the most part. Your consciousness is like the surface of the ocean; above is the sky, below are its inpenetrable depths.

According to this interpretation, the law of attraction does not mean you will attract the things your sorry little ego wants, but the ones which your unconscious desires. So, you don't know where you are heading and you don't know what you are looking for. You might learn about yourself by doing introspection, or by carefully observing how others respond to your actions and the way you behave. You could also interpret it another way and assume that the outer world is the sum of what you (unconsciously) project into your perception of it.

From what I've heard, I would assume that the Secret is overly simplifying to the extent that it completely misses the point. Even what I wrote does not prove that this "law of attraction" exists at all. It might as well just be made up by someone, and just because Hermes Trismegistos said something similar doesn't mean he was right. Think for yourself! :)

I was thinking same.. I just had shower and was thinking if law of attraction work then the formula would be. What you experience is directly proportional to what you have.

Example.. if you want a Ferrari, but dont have it rightnow and by not doing any crime you can't have one. But if u visualise how you will feel in it, how you will hold the steering wheel, how it will sound from inside, how comfortable its seats are, how the road looks like from its side mirrors, how people outside are looking at you when you are driving it, how your friends asking you to take them on drive... if visualise all that daily, think you deserve one Ferrari and take action to make it possible then... you will get Ferrari.
Whole universe will working in such a way that soon you will have a Ferrari. I personally think its possible because there are so many cases of placebo effect where patient feel healthy even by thinking that they had medicine and now they will definitely get healthy.
btw I dont know much about sub-un Or concious mind so.. I didn't get that im sorry

  6. My opinion: the "law of attraction" is dumb and does not exist. What actually happens is, when you think about things and visualize them often, you tend to also TAKE ACTIONS that will get you closer to achieving those goals. It's the actions that matter. Simply sitting around thinking about being a millionaire or having a hot girlfriend isn't going to do anything if your actions don't follow suit. The law of attraction doesn't exist. What does exist is the simple truth that if you work hard for something, you'll probably get it in most cases.

And im 100% sure that I never even tried to approach a single girl... so action is important. the law of attraction book says that it gives opportuinities to make wish come true... :)

  8. As far as I understand Law of Attraction plays with chance - randomness, luck. Our universe is build on certain laws that can not be broken so easily, unless you are eons old alien, archangel, dragon who has reincarnated into human body or something lol. But otherwise you can not brake laws of nature. You can not just meditate on Law of Attraction all day long locked in your room and expect universe to teleport random naked woman in front of you. We gotta take action. But if we take action and combine it with law of attraction then we increase the chance of success.

If we meditate on Law of Attraction that we win tons of money at casino this month we can then use that magic to impact chance. So when we go roll that dice there is so much more chance that we will hit it. While if we would not use law of attraction the luck will not be in our favor so much. So it kind of rigs the game in your favor. Through luck and chance, because that is only way magic like that can work while still not breaking any laws of nature. It's a loophole of sorts. But we still have to take an action and actually go to casino and play.

Or maybe it's all nonsense. The limited amount of experiments I've done with it has been mostly successful. But I there have not been so many so I can't really talk from personal experience that much. I'm open minded that it exists because I've explored other things that are supposedly supernatural magic - Chi energy and astral projection - and I know they are real, so maybe this "magic" is too? I don't know...

Oh no you don't want to know my views! because there isn't much of anything I can think of in response to this that wouldn't get me banned from this site.

Hey HopelessCase101; if you are watching, it's the unfortunate human capacity to believe in irrational crap like this that is way more likely to bring down civilization than is climate change.

  10. Maybe I should just watch that movie on Netflix and see how they try to sell it. I have heard so many bad critics about it, that I never was really interested in it, neither "Law of Attraction" nor "the Secret". As more popularized, advertised and monetarized these things become, as more watered down and simplified usally the content. And I hate it, to watch anything I admire, being grinded through the money mill, until only junk garbage is still recognizable. Be it a book, a biography or philosophical ideas.

"I want a new car! How can I hex myself one?" Man, how about taking a job and fucking work hard for the money of your car? That´s earth magic in the simplest form.
"I want to have lots of sex with porn stars!" Well, maybe become a porn star yourself?

If you want to get anything, you have to be willing to offer something for it in exchange. It´s called "equivalent exchange" in Full Metal Alchemist for example and in this point the anime serial hits a truth.

  11. I think the "law of attraction" is a somewhat distorted view on learning, planing, and problem solving. When you imagine you emulate action making yourself more likely to carry out said action effectively—or more likely to do what's required to be able to carry said actions out. There's potential to learn... If you spend everyday thinking in depth about painting and how you can be a better painter, constantly painting in your imagination when you're not actually painting, you're going to be a great painter... eventually. Likewise, just sitting around thinking about water in a survival situation will almost certainly get you killed, but if you think about where and how you could find water, motivating yourself with the thought of finding it, you're more likely to find it (and less likely to give up) than if you just aimlessly wander and hope you'll come across it.

Will a car materialize just from thinking about it? No. That's absurd.

As I hopefully made clear enough, I don't believe in the law of attraction either, at least in the way it is told by the Secret, which is just a way of assaulting peoples' wallets, making use of a bad case of psychic inflation that we apparently have in society. Nevertheless, I don't believe rationality would save us, either - letting aside climate change or whatever outer circumstances might contribute to the current state of humanity. From a psychological viewpoint, the radicalization of religion in the near east and the post-factual age might as well stem from a suppression of the irrational side of our being following the age of reason, modern times and the mechanization of the world. It's the middle path and the wisdom to carefully spot differences that's necessary here. General assumptions won't help anyone, just as the law of attraction (or its modern reception).

This guy has a critical view for another reason, may be something to think about :)

Do you know the tale of King Midas, by the way? The guy who wished that everything he touched became gold.

It would be amazing if it worked like that. You are giving love for sex on a screen and therefore will keep attracting and experiencing sex through a screen. Try giving gratitude for good sexual health and feel love and excitement when you see real life couples. Giving love when you see a happy couple will tell the law of attraction that you want and love relationships and you will in turn be presented with opportunities to meet and date real life women. You should read 'the power', it goes way more in depth than the secret.
