    Hi Community,

A friend of mine told me about NoFap and the benefits 2 month ago, but didn’t really believed him.
Out of curiosity I start reading about nofap and I discovered that I might be addicted to PMO. i started to mastrubate at the age of 12 and today I usually Masturbationen 1-3 times a day (2hours a day)
I read a lot of succes stories in the forum and decided to try the 90 days challenge, because I could relate myself to a lot of the problems.
I have lack in interest for everything in my life, as if I can’t find joy.
    I have problems to socialize.
I don’t have much self confidence.
Im suffering from anxiety. I have very strong trust issues and mostly isolate myself from others.
My focus is very bad. Everytime when I see someone attractive or something sexual I always want to mastrubate.
In my last relationship, I always thought about sex and I was always horny when I was together with my GF.

Now that I passed the 20 days, I still don’t see many improvements.
The first days were no problem for me.
But since 3 days I’m struggling to
Keep going, as I don’t really see much improvements.
I realized that I’m thinking less about Mastrubate during the day.
But in the evening when I’m laying in my bed is the worst time.
I always have to start surfing through the success stories to keep myself going and motivated.( I want to thank everyone here for sharing their stories, which help me to stay strong) Since I’m already passed 20 days I’m pretty confident that i will pass the 30 days challenge, otherwise the time would be wasted.
But I hope to reach my goal (90 days)

Can u tell me when u started to notice the benefits.

    Greetings to all fapstronauts.
    Let’s stay strong together!

    Hi @NFIIIIII
    Welcome to the forum.
With regarding your question, the improvements vary from people to people. Some people don't addict to PMO for long time like us. I also started to fap at the same age as you and now I am 25. It is almost 13 years of addiction. It takes time to recover from damage of PMO.
I usually start to notice the benefits when I stop PMO for about 21 days. I can feel my physical strength is coming back even it is very slow process. In my culture, people believe that it needs to take 100 days to recover from the damage of fap and 3 years for full recovery. But as I mentioned before, it still depends on people's conditions.

I'm also taking 90 days challenge for better quality of life. Let's kick this bad habit out of our life.

    Best Wishes!

Welcome. Good progress so far. HERE are some things helping me.

  4. Hi. Welcome to forum! I started to notice benefits around 30 day mark. But even if you fail before that it is not wasted. As far as you do not binge most of the progress will be kept.

Make sure you crate a personal journal thread in Reboot Logs section and blog there on a regular basis. As well as just generally be active participant in various forum discussions. I recommend this to everybody new here because it's the major thing that helped me when I was first starting. Just lurking on forums, reading and learning is great. But it usually is so much more powerful to engage. It helps to keep us motivated and accountable when we are active part of community. And keeps this in front of our minds so we don't forget about importance of it and slip away in our old habits. Sharing is also therapeutic. This is a major reason why AA meetings work so good. But that was developed before internet era. These days we can get most of the same benefits online through communities like this. So don't underestimate the power of active participation.

I would also like to suggest you to look into mindfulness meditation. It has helped me personally tremendously to learn how to deal with urges. It takes a while to get good at it and notice results, so you need to be consistent with it, but once you do it's very powerful. It has been used by sages for thousands of years to deal with various issues of the mind. And in recent decades the science is also catching up to what ancient sages have know for centuries. Meditation these days are widely used as very effective tool by psychologists for treating addiction and by neurologists for supporting recovery of the brain. It is a great exercise for the brain the same way as jogging is great exercise for the body. Check out this Ted talk, it gives a good idea of what's it about when it comes to philosophy. As far as practical side of it there is this awesome smartphone app called Headspace for guided meditations to get you started.

Wish you lot's of strength and success in your reboot journey!
