Hey. I think there's a virus in my pc. Don't have McAfee or anything, guess I deserve it. Karma, maybe. :p What's creepy is that suddenly the control is wrenched from my fingers and some unseen force taps the screen like it's touch sensitive. The places the 'fingers' contact have small greyish circles which really freaks me out. Has this happened to anyone?
Downloaded some legit free software to fight it, but any advice? Should I post a thread? The software which starts with 'm'- sort of scared to write it. Help me out, fellas.

Sounds to me that something might be wrong with your pc. But I don't know for sure.

I would suggest downloading something like Malwarebytes, then running it to scan your whole PC. Disconnect yourself from the internet while it's scanning.

You could also open your task manager, and look for any unfamiliar processes. PM me if you'd like?

It is quite big difference between having a virus and being hacked.

Virus is a program that spreads on it own (copies itself and infects other random files) without any preference who will be infected next. The purpose is to cause harm generally not to a specific purpose.
On the other hand, being hacked means that your somebody else was or is in control of your computer specially targeted for some reason (stealing some particular data, using computer power, controlling other systems, unauthorized changing of something, etc).

Summary: Virus is never in control of computer, it just spreads and causes harm. When you hack something you are in control but it do not spread to other computers.

It is totally normal if you see the total numbers:

1.statistics from Microsoft from 2012 says 24% of all computers in the world are not protected by up-to-date antivirus
    (https://blogs.microsoft.com/blog/20...port-shows-24-percent-of-pcs-are-unprotected/)

    2. 28% - 33% of all computers has some malware already
    (https://brandongaille.com/36-shocking-computer-virus-statistics/)

Malwarebytes is a good protection. If it says you are clean, you dont need to worry about it anymore.
