Has anybody been listening to The Butterfly Effect?

No the guy who made it popular did. If I remember correctly he sold Pornhub and soon after that he filed for bankruptcy. Pornhub was actually started by this family... This family owned it but they didn't know what to do with the site. It was a top secret because they didn't want their Mother to find out that they were running the site. It wasn't actually called Pornhub back then, it actually had a name that you wouldn't connect with porn (so people wouldn't know it was a porn site). Somehow the guy tracked them down and they gladly sold it to him because they were embarrassed by the site. I'm probably not tell the story correctly. You'll have to listen to the podcast to find out the correct story.

 

Surfingpoet and Metamorpheus... small correction, Jon Ronson is actually Welsh, although his accent is quite subtle. As am English person, it took me a while to notice then I looked it up and he is from Cardiff. Brilliant journalist, I think I prefer him to Louos Theroux. If anybody wants to hear more from him, I use an app called 'Podbean' and there is a series from a few years back called 'Jon Ronson on...' where he talks to all sorts of people about various topics.

 

Didn't know that... Doesn't seem to have a Welsh accent.

I listened to Jon Ronson When Small Talk Goes Wrong today. A very enjoyable listen. Some references to P but that's not what it's about.
