  3. What is your definition of stealing? Like pirating movies and tv shows?

  4. The problem I have with religious people like you is how arrogant you sound.

Nobody has stated or said why it's better to be an Atheist, stop projecting. As you said religion or not we have goals, ambitions and whatever so in some ways we're similar. The problem I have is when religious people think or try to tell us we're lost or unhappy so they hope we find God... It's tiring having to explain why I believe what I believe, I don't question religious people for their beliefs.

So what, do you think all Atheists want to kill, steal and hurt people?

And for the record, I'm not uncomfortable at the possibility of God, because I don't care in the first place.

  8. I take it you are asking what we would think if some kind evidence or something presented itself and proved it was real?

  9. I like the question you formulated its close enough.

To "answer" your question, If it is real, then so be it. I live my life, I do the best I can, I have a lot of questions, I do not live in fear of God or any higher power. I think sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous, and can you please explain the Holocaust? Just saying.

  11. Thank you for a honest answer.

  17. You're barely making coherent sentences, but it's obvious you just flat out hate Atheists, good for you... I don't understand how it always turns to such hate.

Perhaps tolerance only works when religion has been toned down to a pastime, a Sunday outing, or a veneer covering our true principles... such as getting on in the world. Keep in mind that the way the secular world worked for a while was to repress passion and elevate our rational self-interest. This delicate arrangement might now be in the initial stages of unravelling if political developments in America are anything to go by.

But when you passionately love something like a parent or a country, or God, you will naturally tend to hate someone who hates what you love. In this sense, every culture will defend itself. True religion, true culture, is always an orthodoxy.

  19. I passionately love many things, but I don't hate on people or what they believe in. That's like saying just because you believe in God and not "Atheism" I should hate all of you, that's a flimsy and dumb excuse just to hate someone.

If you have say an activity, toy, or anything at all and people don't like it or aren't interested in it, do you hate those people too?

The right comparison would not be a toy or an activity you like, but the love of a family member. And then you are not going to take kindly to someone trashing your father or mother [emphasis on trashing]. It's nice in theory, that we could all be perfectly tolerant and equally altruistic to all people, but when the tolerance breaks down, on either side, and for whatever reason, the passions will trump reason.

I remember when Princess Diana died. I wore the queen of hearts on my jacket, and a professor of politics remarked, with all the coldness of a Bolshevik, that no one at all was concerned about the little old lady hit by a bus the other day. I found it shocking, particularly as I was in a state of mourning, that all he was concerned about was numbers.
