Porn and Narcissism

I'm not sure it's narcissism, but I do know what you mean. I think what you're describing is a result of the objectification (of women especially, but also men) that is regularly cited on NoFap as a byproduct of porn use. You start to see people as objects, view yourself as (comparably) more human, and hence become increasingly detached from people in general. This results in some seemingly narcissistic behaviour on the part of the addict.

The solution, beyond giving up PMO, is to work on returning to a state where you view all others, and especially women, as humans and as equals. Get in the habit of talking to women and trying to find out more about them without any intention of pursuing them romantically. Try to be open with them, empathise with their views and be someone who they can rely upon.

 

I wouldn't call that narcisism but definitely yes, there was something different. I used to view women differently when I was PMOing (and it was only 17 days ago, and I already changed a bit my point of view...)

 

Porn never made me feel superior. In fact from the first video on, it just made me feel more self-conscious. I always felt like "they (the actors) have what I'll never have". I also was anxious to get my ass out into the real world to interact with real people. That would have helped.
