BCAAs and other things also don't help as much as they are hyped.. Only supplements you can use for money's worth are creatine and whey. Rest is just a nice placebo for tons of money. And what little effect these fancy supplements have is negligible compared to the golden combo of a good diet, nice nutrition and nice sleep.

Well that's the thing that's great about fitness! I have seen great results from the things you mentioned that may have not worked for you. I do agree that a mass gainer is a little BS, its just a regular whey protein with more carbs. As for test boosters, it depends on you. Some will have great effects, some wont affect you because your test. levels are maxed out or just are not responding.

I have seen tremendous results and lean gains from using a BCAA supplement. I do agree that the most tried and tested and best supplements are whey and creatine. But like you said, good supplements can't beat a good diet and a good workout routine
