I'm almost totally attracted to my own sex, which has been a major struggle. But I'd rather be living in line with my nature as a man than living by feelings. I don't define myself as "Gay," I just consider it to be emotions that I have. It can totally suck, but I choose truth over comfort.

My religion as Catholic is incredibly important to me. I can happily say I've moved on from it merely being something my parents taught me, and come to find I love its philosophies and theologies because I agree with them. Not just because my parents told me to.

One thing I've noticed from this total abstinence of romance is that the craving for intimacy has caused me to be able to have intense friendships with other men without any sexual component, and as I become emotionally intimate as a friend the cravings that are distorted into my sexual difficulties become fulfilled and die off.

I've been dealing with PMO since high school, struggling through powerful sexual fetishes that make things that should be non-sexual to be intensely erotic in nature. These things being prevalent in my town hasn't made it easy. But I'm getting better, and I've noticed as I integrate these things into my life properly they lose much of their sexual power over me.
