I, like many of you, am one of the first humans to have had access during puberty to a constant and diverse stream of porn on the Internet. I am just now at age 32 realizing I have no idea what real sexual intimacy is like, because I've burned porn into my brain from Day 1 of puberty. Porn has always been many times more enjoyable than real sexual encounters for me. Even though porn is 1/10th as enjoyable now as it once was, I still feel the draw to it. Yet it never really satisfies anything. I'm tired of robbing myself of the normal sex-life I should be having. The beginning of the end is now.
I have chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS). Basically, it's inflammation/tension that is likely related to prolonged sitting (for work, for play, and of course, for porn), but it is complex in nature and can have many components causing it. A symptom of this is sometimes lower libido and desensitization of genitals. I have been blaming CPPS for this, but I wonder if I can help that condition with NoFap. Not only would physically avoiding deathgrip possibly help the condition, but perhaps inflammation can have a chance to resolve better without forced O. Maybe a psychological benefit will kick in as well. I'm hoping for the surge in libido that others feel after a month or so.
I have read NoFap and other articles about the subject, and I'm convinced that NoFap is the next step for me. I'm committed to it, even though I'm sure I will reset several times. This is going to be hard, but worth it.Interact
