I'm still struggling with masturbation and sometimes, I just don't care anymore. I do it anyway and I guess it's because of the mindset that eventually, I'm gonna do it anyway. Sometimes I do it in the sense that I might as well not try and at other times, I wait, but then it comes to the point to where you can't take it anymore. Pressure's too great and you feel like you have an obligation to do it in the same manner as when you have to go pee. I just don't want to do anymore. This is one teaching in Catholicism I think I'm starting to really hate.

I really know what you mean. It's gotten to the point where I can't even make it a day anymore without relapsing. But I promise that it is possible. Anything is possible with God. I promise I'll keep you in my prayers, ok?

You should love the teaching. It is telling you what is best for you. It is telling you what will make you happiest. I’ve been where you are. I prayed for God to take away the desire to PMO. Eventually He did, but I had to keep praying. Have hope.

You guys are right about the teaching. I have tried but having given in so much, there comes a sense of hopelessness. I don't know how to get over it. Pornography is one thing but masturbation is another. It has become such a habit, physically, that at times it feels like it's an obligation to masturbate. Pray for me. I'm going through something worse now and that is hopelessness.

Get over yourself. Just stop doing it. If you want to stop you can and you will, if you don't then you won't. Not trying to be cruel my friend but I was in that place, but the truth was, I used to enjoy doing it - you need to be honest with yourself and do what is right. Hopelessness is the realm of Satan. He wants you to despair. And it is easy enough to do. I truly know how you feel because I’ve felt it. I’ve wanted to give up. I’ve given up. But eventually I tried again. What finally worked for me was to surrender. I told God I couldn’t do it on my own. I told Him I needed his help.
